    Item not as pictured

chose this over Sony because of the stand which looked very robust rather than some of the flimsy 2 leg versions . checked the TV at manufacturers website and yes it had that robust stand . on arrival ... it had no robust stand just 2 legs . nothing like the pictures at AO or Samsung . thats deceptive

    A great TV

Great tv well worth buying AO service was brilliant again too. Only negative is that you can't record to an external USB stick or drive. You can only schedule 1 day no series link available and you can't scroll pass 24hrs.

Great TV but you can't record any channels

I recently upgraded to this TV from a Sony model that had ghosting on the screen. I have several Samsung products and another TV from Samsung in the bedroom, so I was confident that this would be a good choice. The next-day delivery was free, and as always, the AO drivers were great. Setting up the TV was easy, and the picture quality and sound are fantastic. The interface is a bit of a pain, but you do get used to it. However, I was disappointed to find out that I couldn't record onto a USB stick or an HDD drive like I could with our previous Sony TV, even though there's a dedicated USB port for recording. It's not possible to even view shows past 1 day. Normally, you can browse the guide and schedule any program up to 7 days in advance, but for some unknown reason, Samsung hasn't allowed this. While I understand that many people now use streaming services, there are still times when you might want to record a program to watch later. It seems like the only solution is to buy a separate set-top box to save recordings to. This wasn't what I wanted at all, and if I had known about this limitation before purchasing, I would have been willing to spend a bit more for a TV with built-in recording capabilities. It's frustrating that the product description doesn't mention the inability to save live channels to an external drive; it only states that you can read from it. I expected better from such a big brand.

    Great hardware, pants software.

TV is great in terms of quality and style. However, the software interface sucks! I stream content from the major players, don't have a TV because of this, yet the interface is crammed full of links and recommendations for live TV services that you can't remove. The Samsung TV app runs once you've set up your TV, which is a live service... I've removed that but there should be a way of removing all the other feeds and suggestions :-/
