Hisense - Poor quality and very poor customer service
1/5
First impressions were - it's a nice machine, sadly this didn't last long. This was a replacement machine for one that failed within 2 weeks, that one became really loud when spinning the load and all the cover panels would vibrate, this one went the same way after a few months.
The machine was installed on the first floor in a dedicated laundry area, we'd had the previous machine there for 15 years with no problems, this machine shook so violently it actually cracked the ceilings downstairs.
It's only fair to put this into perspective, we would usually wash a duvet cover, base sheet and 4 pillow cases - so a varied load of about 3kg, this would result in the machine vibrating so badly it would move from it's installed position and hit the tumble dryer next to it. Putting a few towels in also did the same.
We raised tickets with Hisense customer support and we were told we were overloading it - it's a 14kg machine, so we felt it should have been able to handle 3kg.
It's important to understand that just because a machine is rated to 14kg it doesn't mean you can put 14kg of any type of load in it - water absorption rates of different materials will mean the weight being spun could be huge and that alone could cause stability issues.
No matter the load we couldn't get the machine to operate quietly.
Despite numerous contacts with Hisense they were not interested and eventually stopped replying to our emails. I contacted AO and they managed the issue with Hisense and an engineer came out, the drum was warped. Report submitted to Hisense, 5 weeks later and we'd still heard nothing. We contacted AO and they contacted Hisense, we didn't want another machine sending out, Hisense customer service was very poor so we bought a Bosch and it's been fantastic.
