Our fully trained team will get your freestanding fridge, freezer or fridge freezer set up and ready to go from just £15. Find out what’s included in this service and what you can do to prepare for us.
What we'll do
We’ll unpack your new fridge or freezer before setting it up where you want it and making sure it’s level.
Does your new fridge have a water dispenser? We’ll hook it up to a cold water supply for you. Make sure you check the manufacturer website to see how close the fridge or freezer needs to be to the water supply.
Gone for an American Fridge freezer? Fine choice. They’re quite big, but on some models we can remove their doors to help get them inside so please check beforehand. We’ll reattach everything once we’ve got the fridge freezer in place. Just so you know, if it’s raining and we need to take the doors off, we might not be able to complete the delivery.
Chosen Remove & Recycle? We’ll take your old fridge or freezer when we leave.
What you need to do
If you’re going large with an American fridge freezer, you’ll need to make sure there’s enough room for us to get it into your home safely.
Make sure your old fridge or freezer is unplugged and out of the way when we arrive. If the space for your new fridge or freezer needs a clean, please can you do this before we arrive.
There’ll need to be a 3-pin socket (a regular plug socket) within a metre of where your new fridge or freezer will be.
Once we’ve set up your fridge or freezer, you’ll need to leave it to stand for 4 hours before you turn it on. This lets the cooling gases settle.
What we don't cover
Here’s everything our installation service doesn’t cover.
- We won’t turn on your fridge or freezer because it needs 4 hours to let the cooling gases settle. Just don’t forget to turn it on later, unless you want your milk to be lukewarm.
- We won’t make any changes to your property. We’re only here to install your new fridge or freezer.
- If door handles need attaching to your fridge or freezer, we’ll leave that to you.
- Unless you’ve added it as a separate service, we won’t reverse the doors as part of the installation. You can add it on in the basket when you check out – just check in the specification on the product page whether the doors can be reversed on your chosen model first.
- We’ll remove all the outer packaging, but we’ll leave any wrapping that’s inside to you. We don’t like to root around too much.
- We only install fridges and freezers that use a 3-pin plug and socket. We don’t hardwire them.
FAQs
- Do I need to let the gases settle in my fridge or freezer before I turn it on?
Yes. Normally you need to wait around 4 hours, but make sure you check the manual for your product as your fridge or freezer may need more or less time.
- I need my fridge or freezer hardwiring – can you do this?
No. We don’t hardwire freestanding fridges or freezers.
- Can you reverse my door?
Some fridge, freezer and fridge freezer models come with the option of door reversal. This is where we remove the door during delivery, swap it round, and re-attach it so that it opens at the right side for you.
If this service is available on the model you want, door reversal will be clearly stated as an option on the product page.
- Will you disconnect my old fridge or freezer?
Disconnection is a separate service that you’ll need to select in the basket.
- I have a water dispenser – will you connect it to my water supply?
Yes. We’ll hook it up to your water supply if it needs it. Make sure you check the manufacturer website to see how close the fridge or fridge freezer needs to be to the water supply.
- I live in Northern Ireland, can you still install?
Yes, we install in Northern Ireland.
- How much does fridge and freezer installation cost?
Installation is £15 per fridge, freezer or fridge freezer, and from £30 for American fridge freezers. Sometimes we do promotional discounts which you’ll see on our product pages and basket or when browsing the site.
- Will you fit the door handles on my fridge or freezer if they’re not attached?
No. We’ll leave that to you.
- How soon can I have my fridge or freezer installed?
Installation is available 7 days a week, but this depends on your location and what engineers are available. You can see what dates are available by adding a product to the basket and entering your postcode.
- Can I add installation after ordering?
Yes, you can. But this might affect your delivery day, as it depends if any of our engineers are available. You can add installation up until 2pm the day before your original delivery date. Jump on live chat or give us a ring to get this sorted.
- If you don’t install, can I have a refund?
You’ll have to get in touch with us so we can sort out a refund for the service.
