    Gas oven installation

Find out everything you need to know about our gas oven installation service.

Our fully trained team can get your new gas oven up and running on delivery day for just £125. All our engineers are gas safe registered and can provide you with a gas certificate upon completion. Find out what's included in the service and what you can do to prepare for us.

    What we'll do

If you’ve selected our installation service for your new appliance, we’ll also unpack your new oven when we get there and disconnect your old one too.

We need to do a gas test before and after the installation. So, if you’re on a meter, make sure it’s topped up. Don’t worry about cables. We’ll bring everything we need to get your new oven installed. Before we leave, we’ll make sure your oven is level and secure so you can get cooking.

We’ll take pictures during installation, just so we’ve got a record of the service.

Picked our Remove & Recycle service? We’ll take away your old oven when we leave. We are unable to disconnect or recycle Aga cookers.

    What you need to do

The room the oven is going in will need ventilation and direct access outside. This is the case with most gas appliances. If you don't have a window or door with direct access to outside please ring us.

We’ll need to connect you up to an existing gas supply, so double check you’ve got one. If you’ve got a meter, we’ll need to use it. So, make sure it’s topped up and accessible. There’ll also need to be a 3-pin socket or cooker point (big red switch) within 1.5 metres of where your new oven is going.

Make sure your current electrical connection (plug socket or big red switch) matches what your new oven needs. If your new oven is over 3kw, then you’ll need a big red switch. If your new oven is below 3kw, then you’ll only need a regular plug socket. Compare what you have with the details of your new oven on the Installation section on our product pages to make sure you’re all set.

While you’re on the Product Detail section on our product pages, it’s worth checking the dimensions of your new oven, just to make sure you’ve got enough space in your kitchen. It's also important to check the fit type of your oven. Take a look at our measurement guide here.

    What we don't cover

Here’s everything our installation service doesn’t cover.

    • We can make small adjustments to existing supplies, like changing cables or cooker switches to fit your oven, but we won’t change any other part of your home or plumb any additional pipework over 1m in length. We also cannot fix existing gas leaks.
    • Our gas oven installation isn’t available at commercial properties, unless there’s a separate residential meter we can use.
    • Installation for cooking products is only available on certain days in certain postcodes. Find out what dates are available for you at the checkout.
    • If an old boiler doesn’t relight after installation, our team aren’t liable. You’ll need to contact your provider.
    • Sorry, we can't install appliances with LPG at the moment.
