Cooker & Oven Measurement Guide

So, you’re buying a brand new oven or cooker and you’re super excited. Now all you need to do is make sure it’ll fit perfectly into your kitchen. No need to worry, our measuring guide will give you all the info to make sure you get that perfect fit for your kitchen.

How to measure

Single ovens

Most single ovens will fit into an oven housing unit. The only dimension you’ll need to note is the height on both standard and compact ovens, as the width (59.7cm) and depth (56cm) will be standard across all models. It’s handy to note that the standard height of compact ovens is around 45cm, compared to 60cm for a single oven.

Double ovens

Double ovens can either be built-in at eye level or built-under in an oven housing unit. Like single ovens, the only dimension you need to note down is the height, which for most built-in models will be around 90cm. The width (59.7cm) and depth (56cm) are standard across all models. If you want it under a worktop, you’ll have to go for a built-under model, which usually have a height of around 70cm for that snug fit.

Cookers & range cookers

Cookers and range cookers are freestanding appliances, which means they can be fitted into an appropriate space between your kitchen counters. Cooker sizes will usually come in three standard widths – 50cm, 55cm and 60cm, while range cookers come in widths of 90cm, 100cm and 110cm.
