How to measure
Whether you’ve chosen a classic freestanding model or gone for that clean integrated look, our guide will help you measure up for your new dishwasher.
Freestanding dishwasher
Grab a tape measure and check the height, width and depth of your current model or wherever you want the new appliance to live. You’ll need to account for any water pipes going in and out of the dishwasher, so add about five extra centimetres to the depth of the appliance to make sure it won’t stick out from under the counter too much. You can find the dimensions under the 'Key Information' tab when you’re looking at products on our site.
Top tips to remember...
Freestanding dishwashers aren’t designed to sit behind your cupboard doors.
Measure the space where you want the dishwasher to live. Remember to leave up to 7cm at the back for the pipes.
There are two sizes - standard width is 60cm while slimline width is 45cm.
Integrated dishwasher
For integrated dishwashers you’ll want to measure the height, width and depth of the cabinet or space you want to install it. We’d recommend giving yourself a little bit of wiggle room on each measurement so that it will fit into the cupboard space with ease. Also remember to add around 5cm of space at the back for the pipes. You can find the dimensions under the 'Key Information' tab when you’re looking at products on our site.
