What happened at PlayStation’s E3 2018 show?

Check out the top 7 games from Sony at E3 2018.

We've rounded up the best looking games from Sony at E3 2018. Whether you’re exploring a post-apocalyptic wasteland, becoming your favourite neighbourhood superhero or fighting off an invasion, here are the top 7 games from PlayStation's showcase.

The Last Of Us II

Sony kicked everything off with some gameplay footage from The Last Of Us II, one of the best looking games of the year. The trailer showed off some phenomenal graphics, as your character, Ellie, escapes from a brutal gang of human enemies.

If you’re a fan of survival horrors, this will be right up your street, though we’ll be playing it while hiding behind the sofa! While you wait for it to be released, treat it as an excuse to go back and play the first game, which was exhilarating from start to finish.

Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima looks like an incredibly beautiful open-world action game set in 13th century Japan. The demo kicked off during the ninth day of the Mongol invasion, as our hero fends off a group of attackers from a temple.

If you’re a fan of Samurais (who isn’t?), then this is absolutely for you. The combat looks like a whole lot of fun, using a mix of sword fighting and stealth to take down enemies. No release date was confirmed, but it’s already made a striking impression on us.

Control

Sony also announced Control, a visually striking, supernatural thriller. As the Director of a "secretive agency", you must fight through an unpredictable world after New York is invaded by an alien threat.

Expect lots of cool action in the game, as there are psychic abilities at your disposal and environments that react to your every move. This won't be one of the most talked about games from Sony's E3 2018 showcase, but we're excited to learn more about Control and when it will be released.

Trover Saves The Universe

Sony showed off a lot of games that will use the PlayStation VR headset, but none stood out more than Trover Saves The Universe. Made by the minds behind Rick and Morty, this wacky adventure looks absolutely hilarious.

Because the game uses virtual reality, you’ll be immersed in this crazy colourful world right from the very start. This action platformer looks super weird, but we’re excited to see how it turns out.

Kingdom Hearts III

The Kingdom Hearts series blends Final Fantasy with Disney to create an insanely cute role-playing game. This game takes you to your favourite Disney worlds where you’ll meet characters like Elsa, Captain Jack Sparrow, Woody, Baymax and loads more.

This captivating cartoon caper promises incredible action while also tugging at our heartstrings and making us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s scheduled to be released January 2019, so we’ve only got a little while longer until we’re hanging out with Mickey and the gang.

Death Stranding

If you’ve been following Death Stranding, you’ll know it’s already famous for being a tad confusing. At E3 2018, we got a closer look at the crazy sci-fi adventure, but there’s still a lot we don’t know.

The game looks incredible, but we couldn’t tell you what the story is about. What we did see was the main character, Sam, exploring plenty of rugged and unforgiving locations as he escapes a mysterious invisible creature. We don't even have a release date yet, so we've got a while to wait before we can make sense of it all!

Spider-Man

We’ve seen this game a few times now, but every time we do it looks better and better. We saw Spider-man battle classic enemies as they held a breakout at The Raft, a super prison for all manner of villainy.

Exclusive to PlayStation 4, you'll be swinging around in a gorgeous Manhattan as Spidey does what he does best. Expect this to be jam-packed with easter eggs and references that every comic book fan will love to discover. There isn't long to wait either, as you can web-sling to your heart's content on September 7th.
