It’s a brilliant piece of kit, but still early days so the potential is yet to be tapped.
It’s got the horsepower to really push console games to their limits, with better graphics and framerates, lighting, etc.
It’s sadly been marred at launch by inconsistent integration through game updates/patches, and the new upscaling tech (PSSR - PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) not quite as sophisticated as the more famous names in the game, like DLSS from Nvidia - though it’s still better in most respects than FSR from AMD.
The best use cases I’ve seen so far are: God of War Ragnarok, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Stellar Blade.
Honourable mentions go to: the entire Insomniac collection, from Spider-Man to Ratchet & Clank.
Hopefully Naughty Dog pull their fingers out and sort out the fizzing/pop-in issues with their The Last of Us patches.
Overall though, I’d say it still provides the best way to play PS5 games, albeit not at the degree just yet that diehards might hope. The price point will deter most, but the power behind it and the upgraded internal 2TB SSD make it a compelling gaming solution for any Sony fan.

The Ps5 pro is everything think I had hoped for and I'm impressed with it's performance so far. I do wish it came with a disc drive for what it costs but for me I don't have to many physical games so it's not to much of a problem for me.
I've heard a lot about that it's not worth upgrading from a ps5 to the pro this maybe true but I couldn't say as I never brought a ps5 or the slim modal as I was waiting for the pro.
