The control knobs are difficult to see the numbers as they are slightly raised and are black the same colour as the knobs would be better in a different colour (white ) which would help anybody with eye sight problems

This saved me when my ceramic hob broke and was really useful before new one was installed. Although slower than my regular hob, it has worked well and even coped with my large jam pan, providinging an excellent 'simmer'.

Excellent product as stop gap while kitchen re-fitted. Works exactly as we wanted.

This is not going to be found in a Michelin starred restaurant, but it does the job in a small flat. Simple and easy to used. Aimed at students and bedsits. Yes, dials could be clearer, but knowing this just makes you more vigilant.

A great hob, heats up quickly and cooks the food very well. I like that it isn’t heavy and that you can easily control the temperature with the sturdy knobs at the front. It’s exactly what I needed for my camper van. I’d highly recommend it plus if you register it with Russell Hobbs you get an extra year guarantee so 3 years peace of mind.

Bought to replace an old one that just broke one day. It's really light, the power cord is about 80 cm long so some creativity might be needed for placement for some folk. It gets hot very quickly and stays hot for a decent while afterwards and cooks as you'd expect. Only gripe is that the numbers on the control knobs aren't printed/coloured in so if your eyes aren't so good you might need a bit more effort to read what setting you've got.

This hob has neat proportions making it easy to find a place for it in kitchens with limited space. The hot plates heat up quickly and the thermostats work well. I tested the unit with a watt meter and found the smaller plate (15cm) uses about 700 watts when on. The larger one (18cm) uses about 1400 watts. The knobs are black, and whilst they are marked 'min' and 'max' and 1 to 5 in between, they are extremely difficult to read. There was a time when manufacturers marked lettering on knobs IN A DIFFERENT COLOUR so you could read it, but from amplifiers to toasters this is no longer the case. Time to break out the enamel paint and paint-box brush.

A brilliant small hob very neat and compact .It heats up quickly and cooks to perfection.The only problem I have is although the controls are well marked I struggle to see the numbers need to figure out how to make the different settings easier to see .The hob is finished off to a lovely shine all round love my new hob .
