Brought one for myself after positive review in Which Magazine. Then bought one for my daughter and for my son (at their request ) when they up home and after using inferior kettles in rented accommodation - we all love the rapidity of the boil and its quietness . Watch out for deals though as prices vary greatly.

We really liked the design of this kettle. We rinsed it carefully before using it, but after each use the smell and taste of TCP is so strong it needs rinsing carefully or it not drinkable. Back to our old kettle!

Looks lovely with the light on. No problems with using.

This is the 3rd kettle I have got in a week or so. 1st one still tasted like I was sucking a battery after 18 times boiling it & discarded the water. 2nd one same & wouldn't switch off boiling for ages causing the kettle to wobble around. 3rd one boiled it 6 times so far & still smells & tastes like metal. Makes you feel really sick. Do not know why I'm having so many problems!just want a kettle that works ! can Russell Hobbs tell me why this is happening pls???

Needed replacement for another well known brand which I bought last year but had died and was fiendishly noisy - always had to turn the TV off/cease conversation when making a brew. This is brilliant soundwise, and also looks good without being In Your Face! Years ago I used to have R H brands for self and for business but gave up when we had too many that developed leaks. Trusting intervening decades have cracked that problem.

Nice looking kettle and does everything it says it should.

Have previously had this model. Quick and quiet and seems well made. However boiled water when used to make tea tasted very metallic. This continued after boiling up several times. Eventually cured by adding bicarbonate of soda to hot boiled water, stirring and leaving overnight. Fine now
