Awful. Advertised as ‘quiet boil’ and it sounds like it is about to take off when you hit the boil switch. Quite ironic when you consider the kettle is called the Luna design. Style, colour and features are good - but they don’t really count when you are waking your family up at the crack of dawn due to the noise.

Very disappointed. It wobbles a lot! Especially at boiling point it wobbles maybe half a cm each side. I contacted manufacturer as per AO advise and apparently it is normal? I watched YouTube reviews on this kettle and it does seem to be very stable in those videos. Mine is just wobbling. Very disappointing for such an expensive kettle. That's smt I would expect from under £20 kettle. And I cannot even return it as I already used it. So now I am stuck with this expensive kettle which I am not happy about. The only good thing was quick AO delivery.

The kettle looks good and the quiet boil is impressive, but the kettle gave off a chemical smell and the water tasted bad. This continued even after repeated rinsing and boiling. AO have been very helpful in organising a replacement. I just hope it doesn't have the same problem...

I would echo what a previous consumer commented – the kettle was faulty within a month of usage. It was cut off before it was boiled, also with steam coming out from the switch. It was advertised as a quiet boil kettle, but it was only quiet for the first couple of use. Shame, as it’s a nice looking kettle. Ao.com was very helpful. Although it took a while for my call to be answered, but Amy was so sweet and helpful, and managed to get a kettle out to me the following day – most importantly, I have a working kettle for Christmas!

Originally it was great, but went faulty after a week or so, cutting off well before it boiled. AO were very good but don't bother going to the manufacturer as the AO site says, they don't want to know. Spoke to a very helpful lady at AO but sadly there were no more in stock. I ended up with a different brand which isn't so good despite costing more. I really liked the Russel Hobbs. The flip-top lid is useful and the level indicators inside are a nice idea. I liked the blue light when it's on and the side window. I particularly liked the way the spout controls the water flow, it's very predictable. I found the quiet boil only works for the first couple of boils, after that it's almost as noisy as any other kettle, seems to be very sensitive to scale. I won't be descaling it every month as the instructions suggest. Overall though, I preferred it to the Breville I ended up with. Pity it broke...

This is louder than my previous kettle Second Russell Hobbs kettle claiming to be quiet boil... dread to think what it was tested against... a jumbo jet??? Delivery by AO was absolutely fantastic though... brilliant customer service Off to deafen myself making a cuppa ??????
