The toaster itself looks good however its takes ages to actually toast an item. Compared to my previous toasters it comes out hard, almost if you have let it go cold and then butter it. Browning it a bit hit and miss depending on the item. I have had the original one replaced, but the second one does the same. The whole family complain that its not very good. So I would not recommend this toaster. Pay a little bit more to get something better. Disappointed as I purchased the kettle to match as well.

Looks great as a set as I brought the kettle to match but my old toaster is due to come back out of the cupboard as this one is not a patch on the breville one I had!! Toast this morning was in for 3 mins and still only had slightly crispy warm bread ... so they went in for another 3 minutes and then was just brown....

Got this toaster to be able to have one side for gluten free and the other side for 'normal' toast. You can't put down the right two slices without putting on the left side. Therefore I returned the product without using it. If this doesn't bother you it may be fine!

Given the number of years that Russell Hobbs have been making toasters, you would think that by now they would have worked out the size of the slot needed to accommodate normal sized slices of bread. The choice with this one is either put up with only 3/4 of the slice toasted, or, jam it in sideways with one end bent and risk it not popping up. The bread I use is not abnormally sized - it is the one my local shop sells out of first. I really don't see why I should change my eating habits to make the food fit the toaster. It works well otherwise, although it does need to be turned up to 5 on the dial to get coloured toast. I am so disappointed I can only give it 2 stars.

Like the toaster, however the bread doesn’t fully immerse and have to take out toast if I forget to set the time. I can’t release it.

Only one temperature control for both sets of toasting slots. So if you like your toast a bit more done than your partner, you have to keep resetting the dial or put it through for another toast. Also the right slots don't work if the left ones aren't on - so the left set will reach the end of their lifetime well before the left!

Looks goof but it’s quite slow toasting and you can only use the left side on its own (the right hand side will not working unless the left is being used).
