I first bumped into this at a friend's. Ordered my own a couple of weeks later. It is exactly what I expected and more. I'm impressed. No more burning clothes

One temperature - not quite hot enough! There's a reason irons have a variety of temperatures, not sure why I didn't think this through a bit more before buying.

Yes, it irons but as the majority of my ironing is cotton and linen this iron just doesn't get hot enough.

Good value for money, but ...

Good value for money, but don't buy it if you like your clothes to be absolutely wrinkle free. Personally, I believe it needs it to be hotter to get rid off all the creases, but if you are not that bothered, it will be fine for you. I don't really see the point in 1 temperature for all your clothes, it's not exactly difficult to turn a nob to desired temperature. It is a bit too heavy for longer ironing, but it is OK if you are doing couple shirts only.

    A bit lightweight

A little on the light side for efficient ironing especially cortons

    Russell Hobbs One Temperature Iron

OK so this is probably a good iron, but don't see how 1 temperature can work for different materials. the copper base doesn't seem to glide as well as my older stainless based iron and catches material and doubling it over.

    Good but not amazing iron

This iron does what you need it to do...ie it does get the creases out of clothes, however I’ve found on some material it can be a bit ‘grabby’ and somehow bunches up the item you’re ironing which then creases it more. The weight is not massively heavy, which I do prefer a more heavy iron - that is basically doing more of the work for you then. One more slight negative for me was the actual iron base surface area seems a lot smaller than my previous iron. So overall it does work, it’s just not the best I’ve used although the price is good.
