The Appliance is fabulous BUT it had leaked oil before I had even opened the box. The leakage suggests that the box was not stored upright...but on its "nose". I have now had the painful experience of trying to get this resolved. It is being returned to the manufacturer for checking and replacement oil...so I am now without my brand new KitchenAid

I have a home baking business and after starting to experience some technical issues with my previous mixers (I had 2 of the same brand/model) I decided to treat myself to a KA. My dealings with the maker of my previous mixers had been limited to purchasing additional silicone beaters for what I considered a reasonable price. If I'm honest, at the moment I'm not sure the KA represents value for money as there are other mixers out there that give you the same standard attachments and are designed to allow additional/add on items to be purchased if required. I have had no dealings with KA themselves so can't comment on their customer service/spares and repairs. My current view is that with the KA you are paying for the name and a huge number of trendy colour options. Having said that I found the apparent number of models confusing. I think if you are someone who will make frequent use of the mixer or want to say to friends you have a KA then perhaps its for you, but if you are only going to use it once in a blue moon, Isave your money and buy a cheaper make. The plus points for me are: * the second, smaller bowl is useful; * it's quieter than my previous mixer; * it has a 5 year guarantee; * the silicone beater is dish-washable. The minus points are: * It's exceedingly heavy which means if you need to move it around a lot it might be impractical for some people; * it came with exactly the same standard attachments as my previous (much cheaper) mixer - dough hook, balloon whisk, beater and silicone edged beater; * the price

This is the first KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer I have purchased, and in the first week of it being here it has been very well used. It is easy to use and clean (very important), and takes the hard work out of kneading bread and whisking egg whites. It is heavy, but that is something I was looking for in a stand mixer, I want it to be robust enough for bread making as well as lighter mixing duties. I would highly recommend this product :-)

Absolutely perfect!! This mixer is just what I was looking for in my cake business! So handy with the two bowls and two beater attachments! Really sturdy, easy to move around and ticks away nicely on the kitchen side!

Absolutely love my kitchenaid - I use it almost every day and it’s fantastic for a range of things such as pizza dough, cakes, puff pastry, brownies to name a few! I don’t know how I ever coped without it and it puts my tiny hand mixer to shame! You will not be disappointed! Looks so stylish too!

I have been using Pro equipment for years as a chef at work and decided it was time to treat myself to a Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer, powerful and quiet with the tools you need to do the job properly. The 175 comes with a large and small Stainless steel bowls and whisk, paddle beater, dough hook and flexible edge paddle. Easy to use and keep clean which is good as you will want to show it off. Overall a joy to use, with great results

Although only used it a few times so far, the mixer is great. Sturdy, quiet, easy to use and great results. Very happy with it.
