    Not great

    2/5
This SMEG cooker looks great and does exactly what the description says. However, I had an earlier version of the same cooker that I would say was of a better build quality and the addition of a cooling fan makes the cooker noisy even when the oven is switched off, therefore not suitable for kitchen dinner. Also the gas fitting protrudes at the back thereby not lying flush with the wall at the back. So overall a good looking cooker that has some significant shortcomings. I sent mine back and AO were great about it, so I bought a different cooker with them.

The high quality you expect from Smeg

    5/5
This is our third Smeg range cooker and we are delighted with this newer version. Same quality as before, very well built and incredibly versatile in terms of the functionalities of the two ovens. The pan racks are also much lighter than our previous cooker, which makes them easier to clean. We would highly recommend!

    Great looking Oven

    4/5
A professional looking range that hopefully meets our cooking needs. It is well built and very heavy. It required 3 adults to lift in place. It is not fitting with rear rollers to make the task any easier. There is very little space an the rear of the oven to accommodate a bayonet and hose fitting. Therefore needs careful planning prior to installing.

Does not function properly - SMEG say it does...

    1/5
The fan oven feature reacts badly if there is any moisture in food (which is loads of things you cook) and creates a steamy environment. When you open the door all the water/ food liquid residue drops down into the drawer below all the time. The oven gets dirty very quickly from food cooked in it - after less than 12 months it’s been regularly cleaned but the bottom looks as if I’ve spilt treacle in it - I haven’t spilt anything. When you turn the oven off it takes 40 minutes plus to turn off and be cool. Even the smallest ring on the hob causes a pan to catch if you wanted to leave it on the hob slowly and gently simmering. Awful product and SMEG have sent an engineer and tell me it’s working within the correct parameters. Worst oven I have ever owned and the most expensive.

    SMEG Cooker Installation

    5/5
The SMEG cooker fits perfectly into the kitchen space. The clean lines and finish look fantastic. The cooker has a range of functions and we have already had some wonderful results even though we are still getting used to the operation.

Stylish well crafted device .. I really hope it will last as long as what people are saying .. looks wise you can’t fault it … slightly noisier but nothing too bad ….

    Great range cooker

    4/5
This is my second Smeg range cooker- my first lasted 17 years! I love the way it looks and the way it cooks. We cooked our first rotisserie chicken in it yesterday and it was delicious. A great addition to our kitchen.

    Smeg A2-81

    5/5
We just bought this Smeg Opera A2-81 to replace our old Smeg A2 range cooker, which was 18 years old. The ovens had stopped working and because of its advanced age it was impossible to get spare parts to fix the electrics. It was a shame because the gas hobs were working perfectly. These range cookers are well build and last long time - and they look great too.
