    Don’t buy this cooker

    1/5
Do not buy this cooker. It stinks of hot mechanical oil. We have tried two, as advised by the manufacturer that the first must be a freak fault, the second was just the same. We left the oven on on both for over 4 hours with no sign of it getting any better. We had to leave the house on both occasions as it was that bad. It is not the normal initial burn off smell; it is an inherent issue. I think the formed metal at the back (not part of the oven itself so it doesn’t burn off) has been sprayed with oil to prevent corrosion. Could well have happened before Amica got their hands on it. Either way the fumes from it are disgusting, gave me a headache and made my wife and I feel sick. I am very annoyed that I unwittingly subjected my family to this. AO have subsequently supplied another brand of cooker which doesn’t smell ( an initial burn off smell as expected but soon cleared after 10 minutes ), but AO have not compensated or apologised for this quite frankly alarming product.

I buy a lot off AO, for years. this is the first item I have not been happy with, the oven door is very stiff , have to push it hard to shut, which is not very good for glass door , or for customers, like me who has arthritis personally I don’t think it cooks as well as other fan assisted ovens and small as well, disappointed in this cooker

Terrible cooker not worth the money, used twice to boil potatoes and the hob is marked looks like an old cooker had nothing but problems with this and manufacturer (amica) shocking and very unhelpful.

Had it installed but there was a wiring fault within the appliance (dead short between earth and live) so had to return it. Initially, I contacted the manufacturer as per AO.com's online instructions but they were useless and a waste of time. I exchanged the cooker through AO.com with a different one which worked fine.

Oven door hinge was dodgy, opened the oven after it had been cooking, came off the hinge and the door shattered. Only 5months old and the insurance cant replace the door and have to wait 5 weeks for a replacement as well as paying for fitting

Fan stopped working after first use, also after first use of grill the enamel started to chip as the shelf was too tight. AO were great though and arranged a full refund so I can buy an alternative.
