I’m actually disappointed with my new oven. First of all it didn’t fit my existing brackets. My husband tried everywhere to source ones that it would fit but couldn’t get them anywhere! He had to modify my old ones which I don’t imagine is ideal if you’re not very handy. The fan on main oven is very very noisy! And you cannot see the buttons if you wish to use the timer unless you shine a torch on them! The performance of the oven is good but based on the issues I have mentioned I would not recommend.

    Doesn’t work

Apparently because it’s blown the fuse in the consumer unit, I have to claim on the warranty. It’s a massive inconvenience. Not happy.

Do not buy this oven unless you are a AO installer with the brackets.

One star because the oven works. No fixing kit supplied. I tried using my existing brackets from a previous howden oven lamona , but new one is a different size width so will need to bespoke make the brackets. Reported to AO, first email shifted any responsibility and stated that it was my electricians responsibility to provide the brackets. This is ridiculous. Second email stated that their installation team would bring the brackets if we wanted. Hello cost of living crisis, obviously trying to keep costs down. Plus I don’t need someone to install an oven, I just need the parts which with all other ovens are supplied. I’ve bought two other large products from AO, having spent £0000’s and the first time we need some decent customer care they let you down. AO Don’t stock units that don’t provide the customer with what they need. For the sake of two brackets (cost of pence to you) you could have had another happy and loyal customer but sorry no chance now. Am I the only person on here to be able to fit an oven. I guess everyone else pays to have it fitted? Good for AO.

Warning - does NOT come with mounting brackets

    1/5
Beware - this built under oven does not come with mounting brackets - unlike virtually every other built under oven on the planet - and I have installed dozens so if you are replacing an oven that does not have brackets you can re use, you are in trouble. I originally thought the delivery guys had accidentally taken the brackets away along with the packaging but after a protracted phone call with AO and Hisense they confirmed that it does not come with the brackets - even though they are mentioned specifically on the product installation guide. The person at Hisense was useless and clearly had no idea what I was talking about. She suggested it would just hang on the 2 mounting screws which is obviously nonsense and then as a fallback said the brackets are an "option" but they don't sell them. You honestly couldn't make it up. The problem is that the brackets are next to impossible to buy separately because of course every manufacturer except Hisense includes them with the oven. I did find some in the end after 2 hours of googling and phoning around, and ended up spending £30 to spend on top of the price of the oven and had a 60 mile aborted round trip to install it. It's left me frustrated, cross and out of pocket. The oven may well prove be good - who knows, but I would never buy one again. Personally I htink AO needs to do a better job of assessing these products before agreeing to stock them.

Bought this oven as is states it is a built-under model. It’s not, it is an eye level model so did not fit.

Very poor after service for faulty item

    1/5
Received faulty oven. As soon as top oven switched on tripped main fuse board in house. Installed by professional electrician as not paying £100 for ao to connect 3 cables. Same electrician has been back to double check and has confirmed definitely a faulty unit and not to use as could become live. Now have to wait over a week for an engineer from Hisense to visit to check the fault which will no doubt then lead to a longer wait for a replacement. Very poor handling of a faulty item. Now been without an oven for over 2 weeks. Very disappointed. Appreciate you can receive faulty goods occasionally but one would expect a quicker resolution. Offered a free 22 month warranty upgrade when I’d already purchased the 5 year! Got £30 refund so far. Wow……

Great looking product but I’m still getting it connected .......

Think the oven will be great but sadly not got it working as It came without brackets to fix under the work space. I’ve bought some, based on the advise from AO, they don’t fit. So I’m facing Christmas without a working oven. Merry Christmas AO & Hisense.

    Poor Quality Oven

    2/5
I tested the ovens using an oven thermometer; I set the top oven to 200c - it reached 240c (melting the packaging of a lasagne) before dropping to 150c. The main, fan oven was set to 200c, but didn't go over 180c. The grill has only one setting - full heat (although you can chose to have all or only part of the grill at full heat). The manual suggests lower the grill pan to reduce the cooking temperature. This doesn't work - and is a waste of electricity. The manual also states the the grill must only be used with the oven door open, and also that the grill must only be used with the oven door closed - so it's not much use. The oven is cheap, but it's really not very good.
