Bought this brand new smeg product , it was faulty and took a week to repair .............. Smeg and AO didn’t seem that bothered !!! AO just e-mailed and said contact Smeg direct .

I have tried to contact smeg as the hand book is very basic. I have down loaded the handbook off of Smeg and the symbols are different to the ones on my cooker. Have you sold me an older model? I tried wringing you and that doesn’t work either.

The picture is different to the order , when I complained I was told that the supplier had changed the spec without informing them. So I cannot rate this model as I don’t have it.

Unable to use as not all of the parts have turned up and seems difficult to actually order missing parts from a delivery.

This is the first time I have taken the time to write a review and that is because I am so unhappy with the oven and with Smeg's customer service attitude and I want to protect you from making the same mistake that I did in buying this oven! I cannot impress upon you the level of my regret. After only 3 months of use and cleaning this oven is covered in rust spots, and I mean covered. The hob top, the panel which holds the knob tops, the bottom drawer. RUST SPOTS on stainless steel after spending nearly £900 and using it for only 3 months. Smeg's arrogant answer 'our products don't rust' well I have the photos that prove that they do! To add insult to injury they blamed me for cleaning the oven!! I have only stainless steel appliances in my kitchen and clean them all the same way, with water, washing up liquid and stainless steel cleaner - the £25 kettle I've had for 5 years, no rust, the £900 Smeg cooker after 3 months. Rust everywhere. Take your money elsewhere, this is a flimsy feeling oven that is made out of cheap stainless steel (it is magnetic!!) and I learnt the hard way that their customer service is appalling. I will never buy Smeg again and I hope I can stop prevent you from repeating this mistake. If you will place your oven in a glass cage and admire it – purchase this oven, if you intend to cook upon it and clean it – run!

The first cooker’s main oven did not work as the clock was faulty, it is needed for it to work. Why? After a visit from a smeg engineer who did have the replacement part, smeg agreed to replace it. Now we have a fully working cooker, I like the safety feature of auto shutoff of the gas if the flame stops. I was surprised at the noise the gas hobs make when turned on, it is louder than the previous cooker.

the value of viewing in store has been demonstrated here as if I'd known it would show up every single mark I would have opted for a colour - I am really really disappointed

Now fixed but Frankly was a chore cancelled 2 fittings due to no LPG fitter being available , when fitted clock didn’t work have to wait another few days to get fixed doesn’t fit flush to wall due to something at rear oven but will have to do lost the will.
