    Be aware!

    2/5
Smeg CG92X9, STAINLESS STEEL RANGE COOKER. Undoubtedly this is a goodlooking cooker. 'Stainless' steel is a bit of a misnomer though as it shows up every mark! The 'cast' pot stands are not great quality. The provision of only one oven rack for each oven and no handle for the grill pan is miserly. MOST IMPORTANT however is the fact that when the oven is on (either or both) the control knobs above get hot and woe betide if you use the small oven grill with the door ajar and then try to turn on one of the controls above - I have burned my hand twice so far on the control knob, requiring home first aid!! Smeg really should address this by using heat resistent knobs and providing all customers who have bought this cooker with a replacement set free of charge.

    difficulty

    3/5
Arrived with a damaged knob (still waiting on a replacement). AO needed the serial nos of the oven that they delivered to process the replacement, which they advised was on inside of the oven door (it wasn't). When I went back to advise that it was inaccessible because it was on back oven, they ignored my feedback and just repeated the request (facepalm). Have had pay my gas engineer to pull the oven back out to get the serial nos...

    Good looking product

Nice looking cooker. However not keen on brushed steel hob as difficult to clean. Would like the small oven to have been fan assisted

    It works

The product is fine. It works. The AO remove and recycle experience was terrible and led to our cancelling the hood for this oven

    Hmm not sure

    3/5
I’m not sure if I would buy this again tbh. It is incredibly high maintenance to keep looking good. When you use the grill on either oven, the dials heat up so are burning to touch- as I found out at my peril. The main oven comes with only one shelf which means I need to buy another one. Not what I would expect for a £900+ oven. To top it all, I bought it just before it was reduced so missed out on a £70 discount.

    Smeg Range Cooker

Whilst the Smeg range cooker looks good it is not easy to keep clean - stainless steel smears. The fan is rather noisy for a while after using and if using the grill this heats the cooker knobs so be aware.

Nice cooker but beware of fitting issues

    4/5
Good looking and well performing (esp hob), but issues as someone else mentioned about fitting as limited clearance at back for gas pipework so risks cooker sticking out from wall.
