Good machine- if only it had a drawer!

    4/5
Great product. Only two downsides that I have found so far, one that the 28 minute cycle isn’t too great at getting anything burnt on, off! But the 55 min is fine. The second is that it only has a cutlery basket and not a drawer which is a personal preference. But otherwise it’s a good machine. Would recommend!

Replacement for same 10-year-old Indesit machine. Excellent value.

This is a replacement for a 10-year-old identical model which has died - not through its own fault, but because a plumber managed to get dirt into the solenoid valve when moving the machine (not, of course, his fault!). The solenoid valve, in case you don't know, controls the water inlet. When blocked with dirt, your washer does not have any water to wash your dishes and simply flashes an irritating light. I did buy a new solenoid. I did take out the old valve (which is how I know that the old solenoid had bcome blocked with grit) and I replaced it with a new one. But the back panel did not unscrew as shown in the youtube videos, presumably because my model was quite old. The small panel allowing me to get to the solenoid came out ok, but disconnected the drainage pipe at the same time. I could replace the panel, complete with new solenoid, but could not reconnect the drainage pipe (couldn't get my hand through the small hole). So - binned the old dishwasher in a very bad temper(!), and bought a new one. You should know that I'm 2/3 of the way through a massive renovation, and about 2 months away from my new kithcen being built - with new integrated dishwasher! So, tad annoyed about this, to say the least because the replacement dishawsher, including delivery, cost a whole day's labour for one man. However - the old dishwasher lasted me fo 10 years, without a problem. The only disappointment was with the drying capability and is not improved in this new model (which is why only 4 stars) - not great, but not poor either. And, for the price, I would like to thank Indesit for the last 10 years by buying a new model the same as the last one! I have no doubt that, without the intervention of the wretched plumber, it would still have been going strong. I am hoping that the back panel on this new model will unscrew if necessary - been too busy catching up with dirty pots and pans to dare check yet!
