Oven only lasted 16th months - Smeg Warranty was useless took them a month and a half to authorize action after writing the oven off - numerous emails and tel calls as well as being without an Oven - no one really interested in helping!

The performance of the oven is great but the controls and the timer alarm are terrible. It cooks very well, lots of options that have made my cooking much better. You will need to invest in a timer because the alarm is barely audible over the normal sound of the oven. Easy to miss if you are in another room or have the hob extractor fan running. The dough proving function is a little too hot and cant be changed. The controls for the main oven are really irritating to use but it isn't a deal breaker because the cooking performance is so good.

This oven is a thing of beauty. I love the simplicity of the knobs. However, appearances can be deceptive and although the bottom (auxiliary) oven is very simple to operate with knobs alone, the main oven requires a lot more fiddling about with the knobs - pressing and turning with things flashing. I had read other reviews which mentioned that the main oven functions take some getting used to so feel confident I will get the hang of it eventually. To be fair I have only used it once so far to cook a roast dinner which went well and I was able to switch the function towards the end to crisp up the roast potatoes. I haven’t used the pyrolitic cleaning function yet - one of the main reasons I splashed out on this oven - so I am looking forward to this. Having read the manual in detail I feel there are many features that are surplus to requirements such as pre-programmed settings for cooking specific things. The defrost setting might be useful and the Sabbath setting for ensuring food is cooked to kosher requirements is an interesting, and I would imagine, helpful feature. Overall it’s a beautiful oven and I am delighted.

Very neatly fitted to replace a similar double oven, this one looks the part and so far has worked very well - once we had worked out how to switch it on AND OFF. (Press the function selector for three seconds we eventually deduced).The smaller oven is very straightforward to use and we foresee it will get more use when just two people are dining. In the main oven the telescopic support arms are a useful feature and seem strong enough to support the largest Christmas Turkey. More detailed examples of the dishes each oven mode best suits would help, and a clearer explanation of the process of selecting and adjusting them once selected. Pyrolitic cleaning will be a useful benefit. Looks to have been a good choice and we anticipate a long and productive life. One star deducted because the English instruction manual is not well thought out and needs a re-write.

We rarely use the small oven, so we picked this model because the main oven is, uniquely among pyrolytic ovens, ABOVE the auxilliary oven. The controls take a bit of getting used to, and the instruction manual is poorly laid out. But the oven heats up quickly, and cooks everything very well.

Does everything that you said on your website for a reasonable cost

We like that the grill at the lower of the two ovens. Controls for the grill are simple but adequate. The controls for the top oven certainly take some getting used to.

Purchased and installed by AO and as you would expect excellent service. The cooker looks good, very quiet and works as you’d expect. My only criticism is that it’s not simple to use it takes quite a bit of time to work out. It seems to take a while to get up to temperature. Apart from that it’s a great addition to our kitchen.
