    Problems

    1/5
The Induction system on this cooker takes a lot of getting used to, it tends to only work well on the three highest settings, the paint finish on our Silver model discoloured after 12 months, around the oven door and looks awful. Only a 12 month Guarantee from Belling, not really good enough.

    Do not buy

    1/5
Lovely looking but the job stopped working and we haven’t even had it 2 years. No engineers in my area want to come and fix it. As soon as I tell them the make and model they say they will give it a miss. Belling customer care is non existent too, just on hold for hours. No one ever answers. On other sites lots of other people saying the same thing as me so do not buy!

    Functions well, poor build quality

    2/5
We've had our Farmhouse Belling for two weeks now, and are mostly happy with it, except for the build quality which is poor, the seals arrived not set in place properly and at least 1cm too long. The sides of the oven were scuffed and despite using brand new pans on the "scratch resistant" ceramic top, we already have scuff marks on the glass.

    Can’t help feeling disappointed.

    3/5
This is a direct replacement for the gas hob version we had previously. Whilst the product operates well and as we expected, we can’t help being disappointed at the overall look and finish compared to our old one. There is an obvious piece missing to to the bottom of the cooker called the plinth cover which hides the front vents and screw down legs. Our old version has this but it now appears this part is longer provided and is not available at Belling as a supplied item. It is obvious there is a part missing as the cooker looks unfinished. Very disappointed.

I don’t like the pulsating mode of the induction hob

    3/5
The induction hob pulsates rather than being continuous heat unlike the Induction hob we had at our previous home. Therefore, it doesn’t seem as efficient at heating food except at 9 or power mode when it is continuous. The buzz from the pulsating is also quite loud. I would gladly swap it for an AEG but I guess you get what you pay for. Also, you can only control one cooking point at a time so increases the risk of things boiling over.

    Value for money

    4/5
This oven looks good and has performed very well. I was worried about the oven size as we went from a 110cm unit to a 90cm, but all my baking trays still fit. The outside metal on the oven door seems very flimsy and has a dent in it already, but apart from that, it seems value for money.

Well balanced in price v spec

Looks good, feels nicely-made and everything has worked well so far. The 'farmhouse' aesthetic suits our 1905 stone terrace.

Cooker works fine, control panel for induction hob would benefit for it all being lit up as need the hob extractor light on to read initially
