shouldn't be stationed in (very) cold environment ?

our BEKO Freestanding Tall freezer broke down on while still on warranty.
The support was very poor. When the service man arrived he warned it should not be kept in cold places, however he also mentioned that our basement should be good enough and he has no other idea why it failed.
BEKO 24/7 line is unresponsive during weekends, they also take days to respond to e-mails and still longer for the service man to show up only to find out he has no parts at hand and you will have to wait weeks for them. Even though the BEKO Freestanding Tall freezer was less than two years old.
In our case all food went to waste before they showed up with a replacement which took them nearly two months to arrange.
