    Great fish n chips

    4/5
This deep fat fryer is a beast and the best fryer I have ever had. Although it cost quite a bit and is a bit bulky. It is so simple to use and so easy to clean. My gripe with fryers has always been the part where you have to clean it, all you do is cook your food then after you have taken it out turn it to filter oil and I always unplug it and leave it to drain, that’s it, it is that simple, the following day I give it a wipe out with kitchen roll and I leave the oil in the box until I want to use the fryer again. To refill it is really simple, just pull the oil box out, loosen the plug by removing the screw plug and piur the oil back in, my oil has lasted 2 months now and I have had bread crumb items in, potatoes you name it, it now needs fresh oil but nothing like a conventional fryer. Highly recommended if you hate cleaning deep fat fryers, just be aware it is a large machine unless you go for the smaller version but this is perfect for large families.

    So far, it’s a perfect 10.

As with many products it’s easy to find negative reviews but I found enough positive reviews to try for myself. If you don’t want to read any further then my assessment is that the Oleoclean Pro is perfect. It was relatively simple to assemble although I didn’t find the on/off switch straightaway... I guess I should have read the instructions. I filled with new oil to the Max mark which I had no difficulty seeing so I’m not sure why other reviews have said it’s hard to see. I decided to do Beer-battered cod and triple-cooked chips for my first use. The chips require a second cook (after the primary boiling) at 130c and although there is no indicator mark for 130c (it starts at 150c) I guessed the position and then used a digital temperature gauge to confirm. After I achieved the temperature I cooked the first batch of chips (5min at 130c) took them out, put them on kitchen paper to drain, placed the second batch of chips in the basket and then measured the temperature ... it was back to 130c in the time it took me to do those things. Later I set the temperature to 180c for the third cook and when I measured it with the digital thermometer it was 179.5c which I thought was really impressive. The chips were perfect I turned the temperature up to 190c which measured 100% accurately and cooked perfect batter on the fish. As for the emptying, filtration and storage of the oil. It worked perfectly and made no mess. The only down side is that there’s probably a little more oil left in the cooking pan than ideal after the filtration process but I tipped this out into a jam jar to use next time I fry an egg. One thing that doesn’t get mentioned in reviews of deepfat fryers is the after-smell that can permeate the kitchen or even the whole house .... in this respect the Oleoclean was far better than any previous fryer we’ve used. All in all I’d give it 10/10 and am really glad I bought it.

    Excellent fryer

This fryer is the best one I've had, have had a few over the years, not overly expensive, the filter is an excellent feature I've never had before, I had read reviews saying it was a bit on the large size, storage was a bit of a concern for me, but it fits in nicely where my last one was. and it was a lot smaller. Fish a chips were lovely, ran the filter after the recommended 3 hours cooling time, put the lid, basket and the oil container in the dishwasher, it all came out like it had never been used. and the oil was like it had just come out of the bottle can thoroughly recommend this if you're looking to buy a new fryer.

    Best fryer ever.

I love it. It’s the best thing I ever brought. And I know it’s the u healthy option but I have 5 kids and I’ve tried the air fryers and as good as they are they just can’t beat this for taste and for quickness. The air fryer will tie a good 40-60 mins to cook chips and because I have such a big family I would need two lots. This takes a few minutes and it doesn’t matter how many lots i need to do. Also this is amazing after you drain the oil which it cleans as it does and then you put everything in the dishwasher, job done and the oil is super clean for the next use. There is no smell once you have actually cooked and are storing your oil.

    Brilliant.

Invested in this after sampling the results of one at a friends house. The fryer cooks brilliant chips and Wiener schnitzel, and the oil filtration drain feature makes cleaning a doddle while the ability to cook with the lid on keeps odours down. Recommended.

    Good fryer

    4/5
Much bigger than previous one but also designed to be much easier to clean. The oil drains into a plastic cartridge container that slides into the bottom to Kaye it easier to clean the fryer and filters the bird out if the oil. One small disappointment is there is no hook on the basket to drain whatever you’ve cooked. It’s a bit odd as all my previous dryers have had that. Now you just have to hold and shake the basket to drain hot oil. Otherwise would be 5 stars

    Fast Delivery

Brilliant service and quick delivery! I have been using the product for few weeks now and it is very good for its use. Be careful when you empty and refill the oil as it is easy to mess the place around.

Great value, great size, but could be better

Not had a deep fryer for years. Very large basket, easily cooking 4 servings of chips. Heater unit is very easy to take off so all other components can be cleaned - but only after oil has filtered, and this takes 3+ hours. The automatic filter only happens when the oil is cool, so this means leaving the unit out for 3 hours or so. Would have been good to have a folding handle, rather than having to remove and leave in the basket. Lid is removeable and gets very hot. No filter means a lot of steam and oil smell, which is not great
