What a brilliant idea, use the same oil over and over for great chips etc.used about 20 times now and food is as good as the first time. Saving having to buy new oil every 2 moths. Why is it now I was told about this idea about “recycling” cooking oil, great idea ,great product. Bit pricey but hopefully the saving on the cost of new oil will eventually justify the price

Brilliant product. Easy to clean, and can fry almost double of the quantity one time than my last one was. Really satisfied with it.

Easy to clean, easy to use. The only fault i find is that handle has stay out unless you drian the oil.

I must say this FR804040 Fryer is the best I've ever owned. The idea of emptying the oil into a reservoir - so enabling easy cleaning of the tank and basket is inspired. It is quick heating and I can imagine it will remain clean and new looking for a long time.

The overall design is great, the way the oil filters into a separate container leaving the grit in the bowl which can be removed and cleaned. Some minor grips. The edges are little sharp for my liking, not enough to cut you but more could be a bit smoother. The instructions are a little vague I found, but I did manage to figure it out.

Real easy to use with enough frying space for 4 portions of chips (depending upon size of portion of course). Heats up quickly, seems simple to clean. Storage may be a problem as it is quite big sitting out on the worktop.

Being of the generation that was brought up on the thrice weekly chip pan and spending the last 5 years on healthy tasteless fryers it was a revelation to eat 'proper' chips once again. This Tefal is the perfect vehicle to deliver. Cooks evenly and drains and cleans the oil for re-using. Happy Days!

After reading countless reviews and watching “YouTube” videos about the product I finally took the plunge! This has to be the best family sized fryer on the market, we have cooked various items in it all come out perfect. At first glance it looks like it has a very shallow basket but this allows you to spread things out in its very generous size not all bunched up like others. Then you come to the reel magic the filtration system it is so easy to use after every use of the machine I simply let the oil cool before just flicking the switch and a few minutes later it’s filtered all the oil leaving behind all those bits that normally sit in the bottom of the fryer when you cook. Then you simple flick the switch again to slide out the container with the oil in so you can wash everything, it breaks down to five parts all of which can go in the dishwasher except the heating element of course! They do make a smaller version of this product also as the semi pro-version is quite big and we haven’t quite found the cupboard space for it yet but all in all this is a great product and well worth the purchase if you’re in the market for a new fryer.
