We brought this tumble dryer in October 2021. This has been a great tumble dryer for the first year. It is now 1 month out of the manufacturer warranty and it no longer heats up. Very disappointed that the tumble dryer has only lasted 1 year for the price of it. It has put me off buying a Hotpoint going forward

It’s lasted a week kept blown my lights. Ao was great though swapped the unit right away with no hassal.

Terrible , banging,vibration so bad stuff falls of the shelves,,hotpoint customer service is a joke. Broken promise, being pushed to pay extra for a insurance policy when the machine is clear not fit for purpose, being hung up on upon trying to get help..avoid hotpoint

My previous vented dryer died after nearly 17 years (and many house moves), and I urgently needed a replacement. I would have preferred vented dryer, but all the options at my price point were out of stock. This Hotpoint condenser dryer received a lot of very good reviews, and it looked fairly energy efficient (compared to old school condenser dryers), so I bought it. Disappointingly it did not live up to expecatation; it was much noisier than my 17 year old vented dryer, less efficient at drying laundry, and I could see my energy consumption increasing by the minute. I requested a return within 24 hours of first using it and exchanged it for a vented dryer instead (which cost more, but is far better).

There was an electrical buzzing noise from new when start button/timer dial touched. Also the timer stopped at 60 minutes and would not turn itself off. This overdred the clothes/laundry and obviously was a fire risk. Having said that, the macine dried much more efficiently than our previous machine (when timer set below 60 mintes). Also, Hotpoint have been quite good at organizing and delivering a new machine.

This is a basic tumble dryer that dies what I need -to dry my clothes. There are two heating settings and then a timer. Nothing sophisticated. But it works. Just need ear plugs because it is quite noisy.
