Not happy with it, or customer services!

Not happy, waiting on repair. Been without working cooker since it was delivered on 15th Jan. From the very start kept cutting out after 15 minutes, had one technician out, told me no problem. Continued to cut out. After another technician out, after me filming it several times, there's now a problem with it. Still have to wait after week with no cooker before it can be fixed. Been like this with no cooker for weeks. Finding it hard to feed my family, with a cooker like this. Especially even more so with this cost of living.

    Hotpoint Cooker

Generally the cooker is fine. However, the top oven/grill has been depositing a lot of dust & very fine strands of metal every time it is switched on. This is after 5 times of having it on for an hour at its highest temperature setting. Hotpoint only say to do this once. Also the temperature dial has a wide jump between numbered temperatures meaning you have to guess in between temperatures.

Good cooker but seems heavilly flawed

Overall this appears like it could be a great cooker. But none of the reviews mention the two exhause vents on the back edge of the hob that serves the two ovens. They are angled directly towards the surface behind the cooker and release hot air from the ovens straight onto whatever is behind. For me, having not encountered that with previous ovens, that's a big safety concern. Air at approximately the given oven temperature being vented onto a surface or worse skin (seems perfectly possible) I have to class as dangerous and a big minus. We have had hotpoint after hotpoint for years (they last and perform well) but it looks like we'll be moving to a different brand from this point

    Disappointed

Looks good and cooks well and evenly. But I have 2 issues with it Firstly unlike any other Hotpoint I’ve ever had the back panel is flush and not recessed so there is no room for pipes and electrics that are currently wall mounted behind it. Both will need redirecting. Also this model has its air vents at the back of the hob. Rather than under the oven door. So the steam forms condensation on the splash back which then runs down behind the cooker. I have to constantly wipe down the walls whilst the oven is on. I have not had this issue with previous Hotpoints.

    Over all good cooker

Ceramic hobs instantly heat up, oven and grill heat up very quickly. plenty of room for cooking big meats and other foods all at the once. The cooker is smart and modern and looks easy to clean. What I will say is the bad point is the stainless rim that goes around the area of hobs at the very back have a slight gap toward left and right corner like it's not been glued /Sealed down properly. However it's cosmetic and won't affect functionality nor can you see it much and not all cookers will be like that. I did get a discount on it after it arrived when I complained. Over all great cooker.

I'm still getting used to the cooker. Uncertain about the grill - just cooked bacon, and it was overcooked towards the back, and barely cooked at the front. Perhaps it's a matter of positioning the grill correctly, as the cavity is much larger that the grill pan. This does allow for the grill pan and its handle to fit inside for storage. However, I do love the fact that the top oven has a light to enable me to see what is happening without opening the door.
