Hetty 160 This is a lovely looking well known vacuum. It has great variable suction to adjust to what you are cleaning. The head has 2 settings which is easily switched between using the switch on the head. Its easy to assemble and easy to change the bag. The wieght of the vacuum isnt too bad and can be easily carried around. The pipe is easy to maneuver, and switching between lengths and attachments is simple to do. Its not a loud machine and would be happy enough to use it whilst children are sleeping. Negatives are the attachments, it comes with 4 seperate attachments but only storage space to put 3 of them, unless i am not seeing a place. The wire likes to get twisted around hetty when its in use so had to keep checking it wasnt tangled. But to sum things up this item is a lovely item and does what it is suposed to do and would definitely recommend this item to friends and family

The HET 160 is easy to assemble, it has instructions included that are straightforward and take you through the simple steps of setting the machine up. It comes with four vacuum bags, one of which is already installed within the machine. The low wattage (compared to my old Henry, which was roughly double) does not affect the performance, I've found it works very well on both carpet and laminate flooring. This is an excellent 'little' vacuum cleaner, with the emphasis on the little. It's compact design and light weight make it easy to move around the house, upstairs and down. It has two multidirectional wheels on the front that allow it to move in all directions. It's a simple machine, which is part of it's beauty, just one button for switching it on and off. It goes away neatly when you're finished with it, the power cord is housed within the top of the vacuum and retracts easily with a winding wheel. There is also a slot on the back of the machine for sliding the head into so that it stands up nicely when not in use. The only problems I've found with the machine are with the newly designed head. It doesn't glide as effortlessly across the floor as the previous model, though perhaps it just needs a little time to bed-in. Also, the air outlet valve on the handle is very stiff, I can't imagine someone with arthritis being able to turn it, I certainly struggled. Again though, I imagine that it will loosen with time. All in all, I think this is a great little machine and would happily recommend it. It has a couple of minor flaws but they are greatly outshined by the performance of a vacuum that doesn't hog too much space in the cupboard.

We bought this to avoid carrying our existing Henry vacuum upstairs. Hetty is lighter and yet still powerful. The vacuum is very simple to use, easy to manoeuvre around the house, it's perfect for what we wanted.

Previously I had a cordless machine which worked fine so long as you washed the filters every few days, so I decided that I needed something more manly for the job since we now have two dogs. I have had a Henry before but found it too bulky for me to carry around especially the stair areas and so started looking around and reading reviews. Hetty was recommended by several of my friends but I was unsure until I actually saw the size. More compact than the Henry and lighter too so I ordered one! Firstly I vaccummed my floors with my cordless and then went over again with Hetty. I was completely astounded by the amount of debris Hetty took up considering that I had previously just vaccummed!!! Now there's no stopping me, Hetty comes out every day, whips over everything (amazing suction power), I don't have to empty the bag every single time, which is a bonus and has her tools on the back so that everything is to hand. I can't recommend Hetty enough, she's my little Godsend!!!!!!!

Suction is very good but there needs to be a lower power for Vinyl as it tends to lift it. Tool rack on back is inadequate for the tools supplied.

After buying a cordless vacuum that stopped working within 2 months and needing a light, easy use vacuum after breaking my back, I found perfection in Hetty. She's as light as a feather for lifting up and down stairs and really does an amazing job of making my house spotless, even with 2 cats. Would recommend any type of numatic to someone who wants a good quality and not to mention sturdy vacuum.

Great little hoover, my misses has been bugging me for one of these for a long time. Glad i got it for her, it's so quiet and doesn't bother me watching tv at all ;0) top marks hahaha

Hetty really has all we could wish for in a vacuum cleaner. It's powerful - the suction is fantastic - and easy to use and pull around. This new one is a great improvement over the previous model. We particularly like the easy to empty and change disposable bag. We can empty it without getting our hands dirty! A remarkable machine at a good price.
