First time with an induction hob

First time with an induction hob, so a bit of a steep learning curve. So far, I'm loving it. I like the quick heating and fine control. The "pulsing" takes a bit of getting used to, but everything cooks just fine. Getting poached eggs perfect took a few attempts, but got them mastered now.
Downsides? Although easy to clean, it does show every drip and smear. Because it is so new (19 days) I'm being an bit fussy about keeping it spotless and shiny!
Despite what the manual says, I can't get the timer to cancel part-way through. Pressing + and - at the same time is supposed to cancel the timer, but it does not. I have to press the minus button (-) until it shows 0.
The controls printed on the glass are not easy to see when in use (steam, finger prints etc obscure the print).
