    Avoid at all costs

This is the worst tumble dryer I have ever owned! Prep programmed cycles do not dry clothes. Basic cotton bedding is folded into a knot during the cycle so it can't dry. Can take up to 4 attempts to get an average load of clothes dry. I am so disappointed as I thought that choosing such a reputable brand would guarantee quality of product. I have missed return date by two days but would not recommend this product to anyone!!

    Worst dryer ever!

One star only because it is quiet. Otherwise, do not purchase this item! Constantly undoing the balls of sheets or towels that get wrapped around each other. The towels take forever to dry; doesn't seem like the dryer really gets hot. For a small load, roughly 7kg because our built-in washing machine is 7kg, takes about two hours to dry. And that is on any setting. Of the 14 programs, only one seems to really work and that's not saying much. Highly do not recommend this dryer.

Not at all good in drying sheets or duvet covers. Always gets tangled into a ball and therefore does not dry. Too many programmes offered with little difference between them. Am thinking of scrapping this purchase and getting a more effective one very disappointed with Hoover for marketing such a poor product

Doesn't do what it says on the label

Not fit for purpose if you want my opinion, if you intend to have this machine in a Garage or out building, be aware that if the temperature drops below 10 degrees then the dryer will not heat up due to internal sensors, it took us 5 hours plus to dry a Duvet Cover, hardly economical, we contacted Hoover who are aware of this fact, but don't want people to know obviously as it is not in the description. There is no reverse on the drum so large quilt covers or sheets become knotted and the outside dries but the centre remains wet. We have tried this drier in both warm weather and cold weather, but the results were the same. Will now purchase an alternative dryer rather than mess about, as Hoover do not see this as a fault, even though it does not dry clothes. Other than that it is great to put things on or act as a storage shelf, but a Drier... No.

Avoid - one way spin function for such a large drum is counter-productive

One of the worst decisions I've made in 40 years of purchasing products and electrical goods. This tumble dryer only spins one way... So even though it has a large capacity, perfect for super king sized duvet covers, in under 60 seconds it will become a damp knot of a ball and not dry. I have tried half a dozen tumble dryer balls... I have tried stopping the cycle every ten minutes and unknotting the duvet cover... I have tried putting the duvet cover in by itself with nothing else, even though the drum is then 50% empty... I phoned ao.com and as I was a day past a set amount of time where they would refund me, was put through to the manufacturer... who told me that they make the drum only spin one way "to reduce running costs." I asked how much energy and running costs were being saved when I had to run the dryer all day in a failed attempt to get large items untangled and dry... There are dryers with equally large drums that spin both ways for similar price. Lesson learned. Selling asap and replacing. Disappointed with AO's lack of flexibility on replacing the item, which I was willing to do rather than receive a full refund... after years and thousands of pounds of service when I was just a day or two past the return date.

    Worst tumble dryer ever.

This has to be the worst tumble dryer I have ever purchased, how Ao can recommend this product is beyond me. As other reviewers have noted when doing sheets they with other items the sheets bundle up everything in to a ball resulting in the outside of the ball being dry the inside however is still damp and they have to be put back into the dryer without the sheets and go through a drying program again (more electricity used) I have now returned the item and received a 70% refund on the item which had only been used 3 times.. Talking to Hoover was a complete waste of time.

No good with duvets or sheets

What a nightmare this tumble dryer is with duvets & sheets. Getting tangled up so only half of the item is dried I’ve only had this tumble dryer for a week and wished I’d never brought it

No reverse action- problems drying bedding

    1/5
No reverse action leads to duvet covers and sheet being let in a tangled wet ball even when using dryer balls. Unbelievaley Hoover have now removed reverse action out of their dryers. Never had this problem with our White Knight which lasted over 30 years It does seem to work on smaller items of clothing ok
