    Too many programs

Really much too complicated for a tumble dryer ... it has far too many programmes that do not even always dry the clothes properly on some

Not fit for purpose a dryer that doesn’t dry!!!

    1/5
Appalling ! This machine just doesn’t work it isn’t fit for purpose - it doesn’t dry as it just rolls the washing into a ball and never dries it. I was also told by hoover to get drying balls, like Janet who has also left an honest review. I have 12 balls in the machine and it still doesn’t work - their engineer told me that it won’t work because it only rotates clockwise therefore it will always just roll the washing into a ball therefore it will never dry the washing!! But I can’t get my money back or a replacement which rotates clockwise and anti-clockwise !!! Because I got the engineer out after 28 days. When I purchased the machine I was not told about the specification it didn’t say it only rotates clockwise and therefore it will not dry large items like towels or sheets unless they are place in individually pointless for a 9kg machine - it’s a joke and I feel conned!!!

Not fit for purpose so disappointed.

Having purchased in December I have really tried to get used to this dryer. It is the worse one I have used in over 50 years. A duvet cover (poly/cotton) ends up in a tight ball, wet in the middle dry on the outside. The dryer only rotates one way. Having contacted Hoover they advised me to use dryer balls to stop the tangle, they make no difference. The programs take ages. Not too bad on mixed small batches but again takes twice as long as my old dryer. Its too complicated. The start button is very hit and miss holding your finger over it. I wish I had never purchased it but I am stuck now as I cannot afford to purchase another. My main reason for the purchase was the 9kg weight, I thought that it would enable t my washing to blow around much better!!

    Not Fit For Purpose

Rubbish - Takes over 2hrs to dry small load. Overcomplicated controls. Only has one direction spin. Bed sheets end up in a very tight knot. Machine's sensor thinks they are dry so stops but centre of knot is still very wet. Beware One Touch feature DOES NOT work on Apple iPhones, although this is not stated in any of the spec which just refers to Smart Phones. Not AO's fault as it the product that is Not Fit For Purpose. Spoke to AO Customer Care a few times and to be fair they were absolutely excellent every time, and I managed to order a replacement Hotpoint with simple controls but have to pay a 10% used fee even though we only used it for one day. Also, if i had not been an AO Member I would have had to pay for collection of the Hoover Dryer and delivery of the Hotpoint replacement. Not AO's fault as they can't resell it as new, but I think AO should hold Hoover accountable and cover the 10% fee for supplying such a poor product that is definitely Not Fit For Purpose.

3 hours plus drying time don’t bother

Very Poor Drier takes over 3 hours for a load double the time and consumption of my old drier it was replaced with. Really dissatisfied and going to speak to AO to try and get a replacement for an alternative Brand and drier. many others have mentioned the same issues.

    Don't Buy, it's Rubbish!

I bought a matching pair, the washing machine is great but this dryer is terrible. First of all the start button.. it's a touch button and you literally have to mess about for about 2 minutes to get it to start. The washing machine has the same type of button and works instantly so I thought it was faulty. Engineer came out and said there's nothing wrong with it that's the way it is. The one touch feature is a useless gimmick, you have to place the back of your phone on the front of the dryer, to go to this effort, you may aswell turn the knob and press the button on the front. Lastly and most importantly.. It's rubbish at drying! I experimented with all the programmes, read the manual, made sure it was half full still most washes take 2 minimum if not 3 cycles to dry. Honestly, if I could return it.. I would, don't make the same mistake as me, the washing machine is brilliant but the tumble dryer is a massive let down and waste of money.

    KEEP LOOKING !

This certainly looks the part but boy oh boy is it a slow machine . I have just put 1 load of bedding on for a third 2 hour cycle again , it really isn’t a great machine so if you have plenty of time and lots of cash to use on electricity this is the one for you otherwise if you want a quick machine that drys your clothes pronto then keep looking as this isn’t the machine for you !

Worst dryer ever. Do not buy it.

I too bought this dryer because I had been so pleased with previous dryers. DO NOT BUY THIS DRYER. It’s awful. I completely agree with other reviews. Too complex, does not dry properly, tangles clothes. I am going to try to return this dryer. Total waste of money. To top it all, every change of dial is accompanied by irritating bleep. Drives me nuts!!!
