    Very unsatisfactory

Horrible machine, never drys anything sufficiently, and rolls large items into a tight bundle that doesn't dry. Very disappointed so far.

    Dreadful, waste of money

If I could rate this dryer as 0, I would. I’ve had multiple Hoover dryers and they’ve all been great. This one, is not fit for purpose. It doesn’t dry the load, it leaves it damp enough that I normally have to put it back on for 30/45 minutes timed cycle after the programme has ended. Sheets are a nightmare. The drum only turns in one direction so sheets ended up wound into a tight, wet rugby ball after 10 minutes of drying on the recommended programme. I have contacted Hoover and asked if my machine is faulty. They tell me it’s not and that the solution is to put dryer balls in it (I do this anyway and it makes no difference in this machine) and for sheets, I was advised to take them out of the machine regularly throughout the programme to shake them out so they don’t tangle. I have asked both Hoover and AO for a refund as my “dryer” is not fit for purpose and both have refused, AO because I tried to work with the machine and figure out whether I was perhaps not understanding the instructions correctly for too long (which I understand) and Hoover because they clearly couldn’t care less. I’m now having to buy another drier to replace one I bought only 4.5 months ago. Altogether an absolute waste of money and a pretty appalling experience in Hoover’s (lack of) customer care. I notice that this item is now on Clearance and that others have had a similar experience. Do yourself a favour and don’t waste your money.

    Do not buy

Way too complicated for a tumble dryer. has limited options to override programs and just work as a timer driven machine. Does not dry the clothes despite saying it is finished and twists up shirts etc. Vent tube is not blocked or majorly kinked so that is not the cause.

It takes 2-3 cycles to dry your clothes even when it’s a small load. There’s a heart beat drumming sound constantly when the appliance is on which is quite annoying. The dryer leaks slightly each time to the left hand corner. The reverse cycle action has been removed from the manufacturer so sometimes the appliance cuts out because of this. The manufacturer repairers have been out only after a month of having this appliance. Apparently nothing they can do to resolve any of the issues. I give this a one star purely because it does eventually dry your clothes (but in the current energy crisis I’m not sure how economical this appliance is)

    Very disappointing

Very disappointing. I struggled to get it to connect to Wi-Fi. Gave up in the end. So many programs and it’s very confusing as to which to select. I tend to use just one program but it takes at least three times to get even the smallest load dry. I would like a tumble dryer that I can empty the whole of my machine load into and it will dry in about 90 minutes. With this one I have to do half a load and run the program three times which can take 2-3 hours. The. I have to do the other half. So drying one washing machine load can take the whole day.

Clothes take agaves to dry and touch switch to turn it on is a nightmare! Only works when it feels like it. Very disappointed.

    Don’t go near this, useless

Worst dryer I ever bought. Regular cycles take ages. Number of settings is baffling. My particular favourite feature is the XXL setting which is meant to be for bedding - if you want your bedding rolled tight into a rugby ball, that’s the setting for you! I’m donating it.

    Hate it

This is the worse tumble dryer I have owned - I only bought it because of the time delay on it so I can tumble dry on Economy 7, but wish I had not. It is so complicated & nowhere does it let you know whether you are drying on low, medium or high temperature setting - you just have to guess it from how long the cycle is and what type of clothes it suggests you dry in the cycle. Most of all it is totally and utterly useless at drying large items like sheets or duvet covers without wrapping them into the tightest bundle ever, so they do not dry unless you take them out and unwrap them and put them back in several times! In this day and age this type of performance is totally unacceptable. There is nothing I like about this machine and I would recommend that you do NOT buy this tumble dryer!
