Worts warranty experience ever - avoid

    1/5
The machine itself was good until it broke down. Was in warranty so contacted to get it fixed. This is where it goes horribly wrong. Over a week before an engineer was available. We have the error code and the lady stated the engineer will come with parts. The engineer arrived with zero parts and couldn’t do anything and said they needed to order the parts. What a complete waste of time that week was. They didn’t arrange another time, I had to call in to arrange another time. The engineer came back a week later with some parts but couldn’t fix it. Hearing him call it in and say ‘how do they expect us to fix it if we don’t receive training.’ Isn’t something you want to hear. Engineer says they need to order more parts. By this stage nearly 3 weeks have gone by without a washing machine. We have to wait another week for the part to apparently arrive from Italy. When the engineer arrived, he finds out it is the wrong part. Now 4 weeks without a washing machine, spending nearly as much as the washing machine itself in laundrette fees by this stage. They don’t offer to compensate for this. They wanted to order more parts and I refused. By this stage it was too much and requested a new machine. They gave me a return code and I ordered a different make of washing machine altogether. Seriously avoid buying any Haier product until they get their warranty services fixed. It cost us a fortune in paying for clothing to be washed, we are a family of 5. When I left a review on trustpilot about the same issue, they emailed immediately. When I told the issue and the cost of washing during this, they went silent and have done nothing to compensate. If you feel confident your machine won’t break, risk it. Otherwise avoid the worst warranty service experience I have ever encountered.

    Avoid at all costs

I’m currently on my 3rd washing machine this week! Not joking! Had 2 of the machines above & both faulty, therefore switched to a different brand, which actually does as it should & isn’t moving across my kitchen floor whilst screeching at 108 decibels as opposed to it’s advertised 60 something. Really wouldn’t recommend

    Unhappy

I'm really surprised this has such high reviews, I'd honestly return it if I didn't think that would be such a hassle. Let's start with the positives: - Nice looking machine with large drum - Interior lights nice feature And the negatives: - The prewash and the softener trays both fill with some water during the wash and don't drain after, meaning after every wash you have to use a cloth to soak the water up or remove the tray and drain it. - Gym clothes come out still smelling like sweat, which I've never had happen with any previous machine. Nothing else has changed (washing powder etc.) except for the machine itself, which leads me to think it just doesn't clean very well. I can now no longer chuck gym clothes in with the normal wash but have to do a separate hotter and longer wash for any gym stuff, meaning I have more washing to do despite having a larger capacity drum. Bear in mind these aren't particularly dirty or sweaty clothes, just lightly worked out in. - No beep to signify the end of the wash, so unless you are in the room with the machine you aren't made aware it's finished. - The remaining time left on a wash is not accurate either, so you can't just set a separate alarm as it will often take longer than displayed on the timer. - If you want to adjust to a lower than default temperature/spin etc you have to click the touch screen button multiple times to cycle through, rather than being able to use the twist knob to adjust a selected setting. - No way to adjust the default settings that I have found at least. When you first turn the machine on it preselects a wash program and the settings for it. It would be great to be able to adjust what's default selected when the machine is first turned on instead.

Perfect match for a modern open plan kitchen.

    4/5
Very modern looking washing machine. The display is just beautiful (obviously, everyone have a defriend taste, but it is looking as very modern appliance, so will match you modern kitchen and fancy coffee machine) If you are looking for a washing machine to make you happy, this one definitely will do this. It has enough washing programs for day by day usage. The 10kg will take easily summer double duvet, and if you fold it right, will take winter double duvet also. Duvet program will do the rest :) Some of the programs use auto weight detection, so the washing machines will determinate length of the cycle along with water and energy consumption. Plenty of the short washing programs. Also you can reduce washing time using “iTime” function except eco program. Instead typical time delay, this one have function “ready in” so you can delay wash be done by exact time instead doing math and dealing start. Perfect to take your wash after you came back from work, or early in the morning before you start you shift. Time delay will not work on the eco program. Steam refresh is working very well so you can relax bedsheet after wash and forget ironing (I hate ironing, so yeah you don’t need to do this after steam refresh cycle) Just need to remember to use single sheet or duvet cover to get the best result. The cycle is taking 20min. Steam can also be selected as addition on 4 washing programs (perfect to make hygiene wash of the towels, duvet covers or face mask) Downside is, that after you select the steam function, you can’t adjust anymore washing temperature, sadly – this is because washer is using heat element instead steam generator. That’s why I give 4 star instead 5 to this washing machine. What is very rarely in the washing industry, the bearings can be replaced and the drum basket are screwed instead very popular permanent weld. So after many years, when bearings will dye (part of the life) they can be replaced at no huge cost instead entire drum) The quality of the equipment is proved by its weight. Modern washing machines weigh from 50 to 65 kg. Haier weighs between 72 and 80 kg. The detergent tray is very easily to take out, to clean or wipe. But what is most important, both powder and liquid along with stoner are fully rinsed from the tray. So whatever you ad in, will be fully used and not left in. The cherry on the top is a drum light – very rare function, but very handy. You should never miss your sock in the drum with that. When it came to the price, yes is pricy, but you are paying for a quality, and like me, you can be lucky to get this one on promotion from AO

Wrong depth measurement given, not happy.

    3/5
The main reason we bought this was because of its depth which according to ao and the manufacturer is 53cm and guess what, it isn't. The depth is the furthest point from the back to the furthest at the front. Weirdly they don't include the front which slopes outwards from the top and makes this washer a standard size depth of around 60cm. Very disappointed but just couldn't be bothered to send it back. Washer itself seems fine

    Fabulously quiet machine

    4/5
What a fabulous washing machine. It is so quiet and efficient. It has plenty of programs and is good for a large load. And it looks good. My only bug bear and the reason that I have not given 5 stars, is that the instruction book is awful, badly written and no clear explanations or instructions for use of the various programmes. We did not realise you had to take the large metal bars off the back - thank goodness we did before we used it, it was only from reading a review that we knew to do it. Using the machine is easy if you have the time to work it out, but the instruction book was no help. I love this machine and will buy the tumble dryer - I only wish, that it too, came in the Graphite colour.

Liked the look of this washing machine but the first one had to be replaced as flooded everywhere and second one valve is needed to be replaced as keeps filling up with water after use so I’m afraid I can’t recommend.
