Good machine but no instruction manual

    4/5
Bought this as a replacement to a really old hotpoint washer dryer and find it great so far. Seems to wash and dry fairly quickly now that I’ve found the right settings. Only four stars due to not receiving an instruction manual and had to find this on the haier website. Lots of different programs and drying options

    Nothing comes out dry

Good looking machine with decent features. Limited settings for wash only which is annoying and when using the dryer things still come out a bit damp

    Smart looking Washer Dryer

    4/5
Very smart looking washer dryer. Washing element of this excellent with many programs to choose from. Drying is a little underwhelming and it doesn't help the user manual being so poor to explain how to set programs up correctly. Very long wash and dry cycles.

    Great product, awful user manual.

    4/5
Quiet, dries well but my biggest disappointment is the instruction booklet. It doesn't explain the programmes properly. The transit bolts were ridiculously difficult to remove too!

Nice quiet washer, but I still use the launderette dryer!

    4/5
First, let's be clear that the '8 kg' claim for the load limit is seriously misleading, and should be stating about 5.5 kg for a normal mixed load. I know this because I had my doubts about that claim and filled the machine with my regular 3-weekly mixed load, right to the point that there was only just space for the width of a hand to fit on top of the load, and then took it all out and weighed it. It was 5.5kg. -- and yes, I did check the luggage scales I used, with 6x1kg packs of dried foods, and it indicated 6kg correctly. I guess that 8kg may indeed be the *theoretical* weight limit for sensible operation, but it's really bad practice to give prospective purchasers the idea that they could fit an 8kg load in the machine, for that would be completely impossible for any sort of normal mixed load. Apart from that, yes, this is excellent for me as my first-ever washing machine (and so quiet), but, in view of the horrendous drying function I'd rather have saved money by buying a washer-only. As a dryer, I expect it's no worse than others that are non-vented and use condensation to achieve the drying, but I was appalled at the long drying time and severe creasing of everything -- and the creases were very persistent and made folding extremely difficult, and I certainly wasn't going to go ironing all that! Also, even on the supposedly bone-dry setting (for putting away immediately), my stuff was still noticeably damp and so still needed hanging up, and that was after I think close to 2 hours of 'drying'. I also realized that the condensation drying uses so much electricity and water, that as long as I have a local launderette it made by far the best sense to take the stuff that needed machine drying to the launderette for that. Should the economic situation cause the local launderette facility to close down, okay, I'd just have use dryer balls in the Haier, in the hope that they'd improve its drying efficiency a bit, but for now my washing sessions finish with a launderette visit!
