Ironing is no Longer a Chore with This
5/5
What's not to like? I can tell you I've been through a few generator irons in my time, they all seem to develop some kind of problem sooner or later and getting them repaired is not a cheap option either but I can't live without them as they make ironing less of an effort. This is the best one yet. Generator irons are heavy and cumbersome, taking up a lot of space, not this one, it's so neat and compact. Many generator irons need a filter that need to be replaced adding to the expense but also hard to source when that particular generator iron becomes obsolete - not this one, no filter required, it has a self clean function and a special plate/tray to put the iron on for when descaling in which your iron will let you know when it requires this function. It has a powerful pump and lots of steam making ironing a breeze, no fiddly dials either it senses the fabric so no scorching. It has an Eco button and an extra steam for vertical steaming with variants of steam in between.
It switches itself off if you have to go and do something else, which is a plus. The water tank is easy to fill and sits so neatly on my very large ironing board it looks quite lost, you get a good hour of easy ironing so you don't have to keep refilling, it's easy to do so no hassle. No spitting and lots of steam. It has an easy glide feature for ironing clothes with buttons without going into each gap. I hope this one lasts more than a few years as it's the best ever but if not I will have no hesitation on buying another. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the lack of a complete user guide, there's a leaflet all in pictures, that's ok but there's no finer details like a troubleshooting page (not that you want that but sometimes it's handy to put your mind at rest if you're worried about something like the steam pump noise - yes it gurgles but it's not loud and you know the pump is doing it's job). Luckily I was able to download a complete guide from Braun when I registered my new generator iron with them. How can anyone get exuberant over something as mundane as an iron? Well if you hate ironing this one will change your mind!
