    Looks good, but flawed

    2/5
Looks nice but it has flaws. I thought the rear burners were totally broken at first but no it's just generally hard to get any of the burners to light for some reason. It's great having a glass oven door and light but things take forever to cook because the oven runs really cold. I used a laser temperature probe on a baking tray half way up the oven and after 20 minutes at gas mark 7 it read 160°C instead of the 220°C it should be. There's clearly something fundamentally wrong with the way the oven and gas burner have been designed. Oh also be aware that Beko will give you the hard sell on an insurance package when you register your warranty, and if you refuse will say you're only covered for mechanical breakdown and anything else will incur large call out fees.

I bought this cooker for my elderly father as it was the style he is used to. Unfortunately not long after the 1 year warranty (1 year for a cooker?) it started becoming difficult to use. The burners do not light easily, and the oven has stopped working. I am in the process of raising this with Beko.

    Oven Temps are way out!!

    2/5
Not very good.We had a replacement, Grill didnt ignite and Oven took an age to cook...Replacement ,well its the Oven,it just doesnt heat to the right settings Gas 7(220c) is Gas 5(190C) etc etc, called ao who have been helpful, and arranged for a Beko engineer to come out!!The Engineer quite frankly didnt really want to know, and told me just to turn the oven knob up to increase heat, and said he cant do anything its just one of those things, what!!!And signed it off as no fault??Manual is odd as well, shows different knobs etc although states its the model....Anyway its going back,if you read carefully reviews re Beko freestanding gas cookers, many people have mentioned the Oven temp settings as a problem,Gas Mark 7 should be Gas Mark 7 (220c),shouldnt it?And all other settings!!

    Oven is terrible

I love almost everything about this cooker, the eye level grill, the oven light, the glass panelled door. . .BUT...the oven calibration is way out! To cook something on number 5 it has to be on number 7. However, it isn't as simple as just turning it up 2 numbers. It's can burn on the edges but not be cooked in the middle. As a home baker who makes celebration cakes for my family not having a reliable oven is a big deal for me. Such a shame. My old Flavel oven was spot on but now it seems that manufacturers don't care anymore about getting the calibration right. Now I have to go and spend more money getting a duel fuel cooker and it won't have the eye level grill I love. Very disappointed.

A reasonably priced gas cooker when it was delivered the engineers were putting all together when they realised there was no back to the cooker so they dismantled it again for it to go back . Four days later another cooker arrived only to find the grill ignitor would not work .Once again four days later an engineer came out to tell us there was a break in a cable so I had to phone customer service which may I add were excellent, very helpful, for them to send an engineer out with a new part four days later . First day waiting but hopefully this will rectify the fault . Not had a great start for a brand new cooker

    Nice cooker but didn’t work

    2/5
This is a nice looking cooker and I wanted it to match the other Beko stuff I have in the kitchen, but it didn’t fully work from installation. A qualified gas fitter installed this new cooker but sadly had to inform me that the spark igniter for the grill did not work. As I’m not aloud to comment on the service I received to rectify this issue, either positive or negative I won’t. Overall it’s not the best thing to have something brand new not work and then have to sort out repairs with no compensation. One other thing which is possibly normal but a little distressing is the fact that the cooker smokes and smells of burning grease/plastic/manufacturing for the first ten minutes of operation. Make sure you open a window!!!

    Beko gas cooker

Came flat packed!!!. Could not believe it, fortunately gas engineer was coming the next morning but was also shocked that it actually had to be assembled first and said he'd seen nothing like it. Eye level grill has big gouge on the top, there is a dent on the side of oven, the grill tray has snapped wires. The oven has to be on almost full to cook anything, the grill is alike trying to toast something with matches. Looks good though in my kitchen but totally fails it's useful purpose!. Hence would NOT recommend, you get what you pay for so my advice is save a little longer to purchase a cooker of a higher standard, trust me!!!.
