I have bought this kettle 12 months ago and 6 months later it has developed paint blister. Smeg were very good and send a replacement kettle immediately. The next new kettle had developed a fault in the first 6 months by which the lid would not open and had to be pressed several times before it popped up. I have yet again contacted Smeg and as the original purchase was still within 12 months I received a replacement kettle within 1 day. Excellent service by Smeg customer services but unfortunately the 3rd kettle has a fault with the lid too, which this time it keeps popping up open. 3 kettles in 12 months, all faulty and now out of original guarantee so stuck with it. Really not worth the money. For this price I would expect top quality product and certainly a longer guarantee period. Very disappointed.

Beautiful kettle, well designed and aesthetically pleasing. The temperature control is ideal for making different types of tea and boils water extremely quickly. The hardest part was chowing which colour combination to purchase as so many are available.

I’ve had a Smeg kettle before but love that you can change the temperature. Quick to boil and let’s you know when it’s at the desired temperature, also looks great in my kitchen.

My wife had been wanting one of these for ages but the only thing that held her back was the price, however now having purchased it for her I can see that you get what you pay for. The style and functionality is top notch with the added extra of a little jingle and temperature control. She absolutely loves it
