    Disappointing for a SMEG product

    1/5
Problems from start to eventual return. Be absolutely sure you want this before you purchase. Instructions are shockingly ambiguous - our experienced kitchen fitter struggled so much that he phoned the SMEH support line. They requested pictures of the cover plate which appears to be bent and won't for onto a flat surface. Eventually SMEG said they couldn't help (with one of their own products!) and suggested returning the item. If you're fitting to a standard depth wall unit then the fit is very tight and the cover plate exceeds the depth of the unit. Used the unit once without the cover plate and it dripped water onto the pans below continuously. There are no images of this product on the internet showing it installed. Buy something else.

If you need a cooker hood, buy something else

    2/5
Positives: -Affordable -Less noisy than other models -Easy to install -Light Negatives: - poor moisture extraction -poor adour extraction I have used the cooker hood for the past 8 months now and unless I open windows, boiling water in a tiny saucepan still causes so much condensation to the point of water dripping down the cabinets. Pointless purchase but you get what you pay for.

    Disappointed

    2/5
It does what it says on the tin. However, for me there is no quality which I had expected. The cheap one which I have been using fir the last 16 years was better made and doesn't even have s brand name. Very disappointed as I decided to "buy better" in the hope that it would last my lifetime, but we will see.

    Good extractor

Good value extractor. Some metal panels are flimsy.

    Good value but minor disadvantages

    4/5
A good cooker hood which can be used for air extraction (via a vent) or for recycling. But if like me you are recycling, you will need to buy a round carbon filter separately. The fan is a little louder than I would like, but bearable. The lights work well and the stainless steel finish is attractive - and should be durable. Better value than a lot of its competitors but noise and lack of an included filter lose it one star .

    Canopy hood

looks as though it will do the job and at a reasonable price. Flexible can be used either recirculating or ducted. Smart and not too difficult to install Easy to order, website easy to navigate delivery quick and on time. 2 things to watch- the installation kit is inside the hood so don't panic when you don't see it on opening the box. Also you need to buy the filters separately and unfortunately AO don't sell them As we have a wider than average cooker its perfect for us However overall customer service from AO for us has always been impressive

    Quiet operation

Again, a great appliance. overall sound is much less than old one which is great. Moves plenty of air as we have it extracting outside. My only niggle is, that this isn't available in SS, so I had to go with silver
