My first impressions are that this is a well thought through machine, with sleek lines and a spec to match. I have owned many washing machines in the past including AEG washers and maybe its because of the new developments in parts, however, this seems so much quieter than anything I have had before. Only when the drum is on full spin can you hear the whisper of it running and that is only when you’re straining to see if it’s on! The machine as you would expect from AEG is great looking unit, white with a large clear red display, a 9kg washer with a 1400 spin speed, rated A++ for efficiency and given a Gold on review web sites for energy saving. It doesn’t stop there a washing drum designed pattern to help create a layer of bubbles between the fabrics and the drum to stop them rubbing, a detergent drawer with 4 slots, pods, pre-wash and then the usual main wash & softener slots. As you imagine with a name like AEG it comes with a full complement of setting accessible from the solid clicking dial and highlighted on the clear large red display with 10 pre-set washes: Eco 40-60, Cottons, Synthetics, Delicates, Wool\Silk, Steam, MyMix 69min, 20min 3Kg, Outdoor and Anti-Allergy Vapour 1. Eco 40-60 - Perfect for colourful items which is designed specifically not to fade your fabrics. 2. Cottons – Maximizing the load at 9kg load and full at 1400 spin. The standard Cottons program lasts over 3 hours 5 minutes; however, this can be reduced if necessary, by using the time saving option. 3. Synthetics - Great for all sports cloths. 4. Delicates – A mild wash with lower spin to protect delicate laundry items. 5. Wool\Silk – Given the Woolmark this programme can wash your ‘hand wash only’ items. 6. Steam – A great time saver, cleaning and removing the need for ironing in sub 30mins. 7. MyMix 69min – A great clean, whilst using minimal energy during the cycle. 8. 20 Minute Quick Wash – This only takes small washes of 3kg or less, if you are in a hurry it’s a great programme. 9. Outdoor – As the name indicates this programme is perfect for mud and grass-stained items of clothing. 10. Anti-allergy Vapour – Maybe the best till last! This programme removes bacteria and excess detergent, fantastic for delicate skin or sufferers of allergies. I have to add that even though it has everything you could wish for an is quitter than any machine before they haven’t forgot to style it to ensure its sleek looks would be at home in anyone kitchen or laundry room.

I am very pleased with my new washing machine. My previous one would rattle the whole house on the spin cycle. This is significantly quieter, which means I can use the handy delay function to put my washing on during the early hours, ready to be hung when I wake up, with no disturbance at all. The pod system in the drawer compartment works really well. This softens and pierces the pod, meaning there is less chance of residue than putting the pod directly into the drum. The compartments for washing powder and liquids are well labelled and big enough to minimise spills. The drawer itself is very easily removed for cleaning. The door and drum are a great size and the machine will wash a hefty 9kg. The washing is weighed at the start of the cycle, which means the cycle is always the most efficient for the size of the load. If you accidentally overload the machine, it will light up MAX on the display and you can pause the cycle at this point to remove any excess weight. I have mostly used the Cottons cycle, but MyMix 69mins is also great for smaller loads of up to 5kg and much quicker too. Anti-Allergy has been excellent for bedding, towels and the cat’s blankets. The 20 min, 3kg cycle is an absolute gem! Items were as fresh and clean as if they had been through a full wash cycle. I’ve even used it for gym gear, straight from the gym- much better than it sitting in a bag awaiting the next full load. I really love the steam function which removes creases and makes ironing a breeze. A five year guarantee gives me great peace of mind that I will have many happy years with my new washing machine.

Very quiet to run. Useful to have separate extra spin function - not all models have this. Has been gentle on woollens and got all the dirt out of uniforms. Good variety of settings you can adjust for the temperature and spin speed.

Most would say its only a washing machine, but for us it's a fairly essential home appliance so choosing one that is of great quality, simple to use and has a 5 year standard guarantee were all key factors in selecting our new AEG. You can tell that this machine is produced to a higher standard, great quality, overall construction, materials use and finish. From the first wash, we have noticed the difference to our older machine. Every wash is cleaner and fresher, and the noise level when the machine is in operation is virtually undiscernible.....totally satisfied so far.

Having had my previous washing machine for 5 years it was time to replace and to be honest although I expected technology to have improved I was very surprised at by how much and how a machine could change a 'chore' into a fun experience! Firstly this machine is super easy to set up and install. There are plenty of instructions both on the exterior packaging and in the included instruction booklet so even the less 'handy' could easily get this plumbed in in no time. There are 10 different wash programs and each can also be adjusted, with change of temperature, a time saving mode, change of spin etc. As well as your standard cottons/synthetics/wool the automatic adjustments that it makes regardless of what program you pick are great as it will take into account the weight of washing in the drum - reducing time/energy used. The 1400rph spin is surprisingly quiet, so much so in general I've doubted myself and double checked I have turned it on! The 9kg drum and large door opening are ideal for this family of three who have a wash on every day. One thing I was initially unsure of was the 'pro steam' technology - could something really save me so much time ironing! Well yes it could, It has significantly reduced my ironing time which not only makes me happy it also reduces the electricity bill! The universal dose drawer with added pod compartment leaves me safe in the knowledge that the washing pods are fully dissolved. This is especially important to me after having some previous issues with my old machine. Everything is also clearly labelled so I don't have to worry about my husband forgetting which part to put the pod/softner etc in. In general I'd say the whole machine is very easy to use without even looking at the instructions, the display is nice and bright and clearly shows you what you have selected. Only down side I've found - it only comes in white, however I do like the silver accents on the drawer and door and gives it that modern look!

The AEG L7FEC946U was straightforward to install, with clear instructions provided. The machine is a sleek, modern design with an easy-to-use interface. I was able to easily go through the various different modes available. The display shows the time remaining of the wash, which is very useful and surprisingly not something I have seen in many machines. The UniversalDose feature is brilliant. I use pods and was pleased to see no residue was remaining post wash. The washing machine is relatively quiet, which is a bonus. The machine also allows you to wash delicates as well as woollen products. I tested the wool function and was pleased with the outcome; no damage or shrinkage. I tried the ProSteam function on some work shirts. It was noticeable that they came out less wrinkled, which resulted in my ironing time being reduced. The machine has a ProSense feature which allows smaller loads to be washed, with water and energy usage adjusted to the weight. This is a particularly useful feature, meaning you can wash smaller loads if urgently required without having to use a full loads worth of energy and water. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience so far and would highly recommend the AEG L7FEC946U washing machine.

Very quiet efficient washing machine. Easy to use and large washing tub extremely useful. Last AEG washing machine lasted 20 years but even half that time will be great. Very happy customer.
