    DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN

    1/5
This is the worst oven I have ever owned because: the cooking was very uneven; the outside of the main oven door was incredibly hot (dangerously hot in my opinion) when the oven was on; the fan was very noisy & stayed on for 50 minutes after the oven was turned off; it was terrible to clean as the catalytic liner is only at the back & the rest is enamel so food splashes stick very easily; the control knobs are very difficult to move to your chosen setting as they have only small dots on the side and so it's hard to read them, and the timer is so quiet it gets drowned out by the fan. The oven got returned because of the uneven cooking and I've now chosen a different make to replace it (which is infinitely better). However everything else mentioned above was exceptionally irritating so I'm very glad it's gone back to Bosch as there were no redeeming features! (p.s. I wanted to give this review no stars but this was not an option!)

Great until it broke after two months

    1/5
The oven worked well until the fan broke after only a couple of months. Bosch’s response has been poor, the customer service is shocking. I am extremely disappointed with how this has been handled. Bosch is supposed to provide quality products but I feel unable to purchase their products due to the handling of this issue. AO.com suggested that I speak to Bosch and didn't really want to get involved.

    Poor value for money

    2/5
I'm not too impressed. The temperature of the oven I received seems unreliable: It's about ten degrees higher than the dial says, eg when the dial says 200 degrees my thermometer -- which was accurate with my old oven -- measures 210. And when dial says 50 degrees, the heat is actually 60 degrees - ie a 20percent difference which is a lot when it comes to cooking food. Initially I was going to complain about it, and then wondered if a replacement oven would be any better. I also don't like the two half trays supplied with the oven, as they take up space to store but are no use to me. And the self-cleaning aspect, which initially seemed attractive, applies only to the back of the oven and doesn't seem to work well even there. So for an expensive oven, it's not very impressive. I preferred my old Neff oven in every way, but Neff have stopped making white ovens. Even there the new oven is a very stark shade of white which does not match my mid-white white cupboards, unlike my old one. However the oven cooks food, which is its main job, so in that sense it works. It just doesn't feel like a premium product.

Great service from AO, but be warned

    2/5
The oven is smart and, though I haven't used it much yet, seems to cook well and quickly. I've found that using one of the shelves plus the large drip tray provided as a grill to be awkward and clumsy, particularly since both items are too large to fit into my sink for cleaning, so I'm now using the grill pan from my old cooker instead. Also, the buzzer on the timer is far too quiet and I've had to supplement that with an old fashioned clockwork timer. My main beef, and the reason I can't award more stars, is over cleaning. I did a good deal of research before ordering this oven and what attracted me to it was the Ecoclean automatic cleaning system. The advertising implies that both ovens are lined with this. However, on receipt of the oven I found that only the back wall of the main oven has this type of surface. On querying this with AO I was told that the oven has a 'wipe clean' surface, not a self cleaning one. I hope someone will correct me if I am wrong, but this to me means old fashioned enamel which in time will probably need cleaning with very non-Eco chemicals. The large removable drip tray in the base of the main oven will be a help, but that leaves an awful lot vulnerable to spills and splashes. So disappointing.

    Unreadable controls

    2/5
Oven works acceptably but the cooling fan is noisy and runs for a ridiculously long time after use. Controls are virtually useless except in perfect light with perfect eyesight and the ability to bend down and see the white dot from beneath the dial. The most popular temperature range of 150 to 200 faces downwards. It is difficult to imagine how a major brand could be so badly designed I bought the oven on its appearance. This is the main attribute. It looks smart

    Undecided

Still getting used to the oven. Firstly, it’s hard to see the marker on the black dials to select your settings. Disappointed it doesn’t have digital setting like my old Samsung and it doesn’t let you know when the oven has reached its desired temperature. I’m struggling with the temp settings, its taking longer to cook than my old oven so I’m having to use higher a settings. The volume on the alarm is far too quiet, if your not in the same room you won’t hear it. Not sure it’s going to be as good as my Samsung.
