What you expect from Apple, fantastic speaker and more

Great product and easy to use.

It’s been very easy to set up links with the other tech in the house with no issues. We bought two to link with our HomePod. I find I have to repeat myself sometimes but my wife says that’s because it “Disnae understaund Glaswegian!” ??

Poor: Had an iphone and apple mac issues with both connections. Not reliable sound, buggy experience. Should have done it with Bluetooth. Looking for return shortly.

The perfect product for our new home.

As an Apple Music subscriber, a family of apple users and a number of HomeKit appliances I don’t think you can beat this product. However if one or more of those things aren’t true for you then it may not be worth the extra price. Full Spotify support may come in the future but that’s up to them to decide - as a music player though it sounds good (better than any of Google or Amazon’s competition) but still not as good as you might want from such a speaker - and there’s no support for additional speakers beyond pairing a second HomePod mini with it. It certainly has other hardware that makes it better value, such as being a thread border router and Apple U1 chip to enable handoff with newer devices; I.e. iPhone 11 or newer but if your not planning to use these features then again it may not be worth paying for them. Lastly the build quality and design are excellent and it complements my room rather than intruding on the space!
