Faulty water inlet solenoid valve, drum fills with water when not used, extremely disappointed.

Very disappointed. The machine is very quiet, good looking, and spins very well, we were very happy with it until we discovered that it fills with water when not in use.
I suggest you check your water inlet solenoid valve if you have one of these, it's very easy.
I initially thought it wasn't draining properly, but that's not the case - I removed the detergent tray (you pull it out, press a tab, and can remove it for cleaning, etc) and discovered that the solenoid valve on the inside of the washing machine is leaking and allowing water to drip into the detergent tray area, slowly filling it, and eventually the drum of the washing machine, with tap water.
I can't believe they seemingly cheaped out on such an important part, if I left for a holiday, this would flood my home very slowly. I'm extremely disappointed. The last two washing machines both of which lasted 8 years each, had good quality valves and the drum bearings failed before the valves did.
Bad value, bad purchase, much regret.
