Standard washing machine. Power lead not long enough to connect to my plug (1.2m) the others have a 1.5m which fits so I have exchanged this for a more expensive LG.

Quieter than previous machine, not quiet but expected for price. Fast wash facility useful. Delivered first in morning - 7am.

We have always bought Hotpoint washing machines. We have just taken delivery and went to install. The electrical lead is now ridiculously only 1 metre long and it was a stretch to the socket with centimeters to spare. I am sure when we use the machine, everything will be fine but electrical lead of atleast 2 metres is very much needed.

This washing machine is okay for the price, but it has one major flaw - all its programmes other than the very quick wash are around the three hour mark. It wouldn't be so bad if it actually took the time it said on the screen, but I regularly start wash programmes that then go on for nearly an hour longer than the time stated - today I used a stopwatch and a 2:45 programme went on for 3:58. The timer just keeps ticking upwards. I dread to think how much energy is being used, and it also messes up laundry day - even if you start the machine first thing, by the time the machine has finished it's getting too late in the day to hang it out and get it dry. It gets things VERY clean, which is great, but so it should when it's taking four hours to wash a few tops and jeans!

Not over impressed as delivered faulty

We've only had this a short time and the delivery guys were great but this machine seems to use a lot more water than our last 2 machines. When there's about 12-14 mns left on a 45 min wash it just seems to fill with water. I dread to think what our water bill is going to be.

I feel Hotpoint have gone backwards with this washing machine - The programs are ridiculously long - using more energy than my previous Hotpoint washer - The short programs don't rinse properly and only do up to 1200 spin so I have to do another spin on 1400 - even then the clothes are not as dry as my old machine was on 1200 - so using more energy tumble drying - also the machine moves about when it's on spin - If I had viewed this machine and not purchased it on line I would not have bought it owing to the small drum - but that's my mistake - not Hotpoints - I have always had Hotpoint washers for over 50 years and have been quite satisfied - untill now!

Lots of settings, but user manual doesn't give much details of the differences.
