Compared to my old Dyson this Shark Upright Vacuum cleaner is so light in comparison. Very easy to use with fantastic suction power. I love the lift away , great for the stair carpet. Also it’s easy to switch from carpet to hard floor . The lead is really long which is a bonus . Very happy with my new Shark for overall quality and price.

Buying a new vacuum cleaner is always a gamble, if only you could try it before you buy it!! I read the very positive reviews on this Shark vacuum cleaner (I'd never heard of the manufacturer!) and thought it sounded excellent value for money so I took the gamble! No regrets, it's relatively quiet, VERY powerful (especially if you don't notice the Max/Min Suction switch near the handle!!), the tools are handy, both the body of the cleaner and the handle are very easy to release and re-attach, the shape of the body allows cleaning into corners and under overhanging base cupboards...and the light shows what you've missed with previous cleaners. Today I was singing its praises to my son and find that he's just bought one, unfortunately at full price, and he thinks it beats his old Dyson hands down. I'm very very satisfied with it and with AO for delivery etc..

Absolute be(a)st! After years of having to use a Henry, I am so glad I got this! It so powerful, yet compact. No bags (it's so easy to empty) and also no constant charging like cordless ones. I have a cat and the additional pet tool is really handy. I would have given it five stars, but because it's so powerful, it's really hard to push it on carpet on max mode, min power is manageable and still powerful enough though, also the cable is slightly annoying.

Like the fact that you can lift top bit off for stairs.

My husband purchased this for me after reading about the reviews. I only have 2/3 qualms about this vacuum cleaner. If using it on older, flatter carpet which I was, when pulling back the machine it judders up & down. Going forward seems ok, but as you vacuum you move forwards & backwards. I tried it upstairs on my newer carpets (2/3yrs) and it was ok as the pile was not as flat. I did change the setting when downstairs to “hard floor” but it was still doing the same. The other thing is the suction is incredibly just that, so much so that I have trouble pushing it on the carpet. I have to use minimum all the time. I do like the extra long cord but not the storage system of it, near to the base of the cleaner and when you clip the cord in the cord clip at the top of the handle it feels unusual. I will just have to get used to it over time. However, plus side is it was an extremely good price and does remove a lot of dust from the carpets, no doubt due to the incredible suction.

Perhaps the most powerful vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, and also extremely versatile. A bargain at the price!

We purchased our Shark after having a very disappointing experience with a Hoover cordless that broke within a month of buying it (not from AO). Having read some more reviews on cordless vacuum's, decided that the technology wasn't ready to try another cordless. Went for this model for its ability of the body to detach from the upright, to facilitate vacuuming the stairs. 10/10 for portability, so much easier and less stressful than our old Dyson. Fantastic on hard floor and amazing on carpets, boy does she suck !
