I used to hire rug doctor every couple of years so have every confidence that it will do an excellent job cleaning my carpets and upholstery. Now I have purchased my own rug doctor so I will be cleaning whenever I wish. It gets easier to manoeuvre after awhile of getting used to the machine. Carpets and upholstery come up smelling clean and fresh and looking almost new.

Fantastic. I have used VAX before now and was always disgusted at the dirty water at the end of cleaning my carpets. This was no different however my carpet looked so much cleaner and brighter afterwards. I always go over the carpet once more with the suction just to get out as much water as possible but thereafter, it didn't take long to dry. It was easy to adjust to hard floor and, again, the water was disgusting! Even though I clean my floor with a mop every day (although I knew it wasn't cleaning properly hence I bought this machine). The floor was left almost fully dry afterwards (you can feel the suction as you push it). It is rather heavy and you get a mini workout when cleaning however I think that the results you get are well worth the effort. I haven't tried the upholstery cleaner yet. I would certainly recommend getting this machine.
