    Pleased with my Rangemaster oven

    4/5
I am pleased with my Rangemaster professional plus range cooker. It is very attractive and looks very good in my kitchen. Cooks very well and evenly just trying to get used to where the gas burners are on the hob as different from my last range cooker. I think the wok burner might have been better positioned in the middle as opposed to the right-hand side. Really like having a separate grill. Delivery and fitting service was very good.

Been using it for a couple of weeks. All good. No problems experienced with it and both hob and ovens perform well. Great service from AO delivering and installing too.

Christmas dinner for 14 was a breeze

    5/5
I'd been looking for ages for a cooker to replace my old Belling range which had one wide and one narrow oven, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. The Belling eventually died so forced me into making a decision as I needed a cooker before Christmas. I chose the Rangemaster Professional as it had the closest configuration. I did want the Deluxe with the multi-function oven, but this was out of stock, so I took the Pro + instead. I must say, I am so pleased with it. Pro's - both ovens heat up very quickly, very well insulated, the front doesn't get hot even with both ovens on, you can hardly hear the fans when the doors are closed. My extra large roasting tin for a 10kg turkey fitted nicely in the wide oven (oven space for this tin was a pre-requisite). Multiple shelves in the narrow oven are a godsend. Christmas dinner for 14 cooked without having to juggle oven space by pre-cooking some dishes to be reheated, so saved energy. All of the roast veg, stuffing, yorkies, etc., went in at once. The hob is really easy to clean and spills/boil overs don't spread over the whole hob. Cooking times for roasts, pastry, etc., seem to be spot on, but I haven't made any cakes yet. Con's - could do with an interior light in the narrow oven. I'm struggling a little with hob configuration. My old cooker was 2 burners left, wok burner middle, two burners right. As I'm right handed I prefer to cook anything that needs attention on the right burners, which on this cooker are the middle ones, but I'll get used to it eventually. The hob pan supports aren't flat on top, so if you lift a full roasting tin or tray out onto the hob, extra care is needed so that the tin doesn't topple or spill. All in all it's a super cooker that I am generally very pleased with. Combined with the great service and installation from AO, I'm very happy with my purchase.

    Disappointing.

The weird shelf attached to the door is useless, but easily removed. I need to order a third shelf for the oven to replace it. No oven light when switched on is really odd so you can’t see the food well. The glass door gets dirty very quickly when doing a roast. Cooking temperature in the main fan oven is uneven. The timer alarm is awkward to set on a turning knob. The inside walls of main oven are a strange rough material that looks impossible to clean. Overall, quite disappointed with this purchase and wish I had bought a Smeg instead.

Heats up really quickly and is super easy to clean. I needed to buy new trays as the right side oven is not quite deep enough to accommodate my usual trays but it's wonderful.

    Great cooker for the price

It looks good, easy to clean and roasts meat and fish really well. However, it doesn’t crisp any of the skin on the chicken which is not terrible but my family like it crispy! I have taken the rack off the door as the dish attaches to its is really too small for family cooking. The ovens are good but none of my large roasting dishes fit in the tall oven, which is a bit disappointing. The hob is the wrong way around small light should be at the back and is just not powerful enough for anything to start with but useful for low simmering only. We have had it for 3 weeks now and cook a lot. In addition, the AO delivery guys were brilliant deinstalling the old and installing the new one. No hesitation recommending them for household goods.
