A great range cooker with an induction hob

    5/5
I inherited an old dual fuel range cooker when we bought our new house and found the temperature of the 2 ovens to be totally unreliable. This was not good with Christmas approaching and so, keen to be as energy efficient as possible and with a very positive experience of another induction hob, I went for this Which 'Best Buy' induction hob range cooker as a replacement. I have not been disappointed. The hob has 5 cooking areas and they all heat up quickly and are very responsive to changes in power. One of the things I was really pleased about is that the hob does not beep if you leave items on it (as other induction and ceramic hobs seem to like to do), so you can, with appropriate care, use it a bit like a work surface. There are also two areas at the front of the hob where you can rest pans or implements, well away from the cooking areas. The glass seems to be easy to keep clean if you follow the Rangemaster instructions. The 2 fan ovens provide a really large amount of cooking space and the main fan oven has a 'swing out' roasting tin that makes access for, for example, basting, really easy. You do just need to check the size of baking trays and roasting tins for the tall fan oven as it is narrower than a conventional oven and so some cookware won't fit. I have not had any difficulty finding items that do fit, however, including Rangemaster's own range of cookware. Both ovens seem to heat up reliably to the temperature set and do so much more quickly than other electric ovens I have used. My only tiny gripe would be that, depending on the light near the cooker, it can be a little difficult to see the mark for setting the oven temperature. This may be easier on ovens other than the black one but is easily solved by a little dab of white paint on the relevant spot. The grill pan slides in and out very easily and the grill heats up quickly and grills evenly. Overall, I am absolutely delighted with my new Rangemaster double fan oven with induction hob and am very much looking forward to cooking Christmas dinner using it.

Excellent range cooker, induction hob takes a little getting used to and a new set of pots and pans were needed but it's a dream to use, better than gas in fact, quick to heat, instant control and so easy to clean.

Looks amazing. Sadly I have had to call out an engineer as the oven door is resisting to close. Some parts of the oven are made from cheap materials eg the operating knobs. I would have expected better quality considering the price. It is quick to come on compared to the old electric cookers. So it’s the next best option for those who do not have gas mains. I would have given a four had it not been for the oven door issue

    Worth the money!

We have needed a new oven for about 5 years but last time we went shopping we came home with a 50" TV instead and watched cookery programmes. So we chose this one as we're used to a Gas Hob but with gas running out we wanted a responsive hob and my word it is fabulous! Easy to use hob, boils water in under a minute I kid u not! Ovens cook food beautifully & it's amazing how much you dont realise you've missed a grill until you have one that works! Yes as you've probably guessed we are middle-aged hence the excitement but honestly when you've been relying on a countertop halogen oven for meals an oven that heats up quickly and where you can cook a meal in one stage rather than 3 makes a difference I tell ya!

It really is brilliant. Easy to clean the hob. Haven’t cleaned the oven yet. But overall it is a great range. More expensive than the belling but it doesn’t have the wasted space which that one has with the useless storage space. Worth the extra cost. Looks great too.
