Rangemaster gas range - as good as ever
5/5
I decided to replace my (very old but reliable) Rangemaster Classic Gas range with a new Rangemaster - future proofing
I'd planned to get another Classic (in cranberry) but lead times were very long
This was available from ao from stock and at a promotional price - a bonus
It is essentially the same range - the differences are just cosmetic
I was a slightly concerned that it would look out of place in my very much unfitted kitchen but it looks just fine
The range is everything I've come to expect from Rangemaster
On my old Classic the tall oven was a slow/oven plate warmer so I had to get used to the fan oven
Not much time needed for that - it's a super, efficient little oven
The main gas oven's slow cooking setting works just fine for the slow cooked dishes I frequently make
The gas oven runs true to temperature and is really easy to clean
The top, too has proved easy to clean and the range of burners should suit anyone
I particularly like that the Rangemaster's wok burner is on one side of the hob rather than centrally placed as many other makes are
Just seems easier to work with - especially if you're using other rings at the same time
I initially found the grill to be a bit of a "slow burner" but it took very little getting used to and the grillpan, too, is a doddle to clean
I think you may have gathered that I'm very pleased with my purchase which I would recommend to anyone wanting a solid, well built, realistically priced range cooker that will fit into a reasonably small space
An added advantage for this range is that an ordinary 13 amp socket is all that is needed for connection
