This is not as advertised or as shown on the box, a 42L capacity oven, it is more like 32L. I don’t know how they get away with saying it is 42L. It is,having said that a good combination oven. I have had no issues with it. I have only ever had Sharp combination ovens and this one is as good as the others I’ve had. It is an aesthetically pleasing size compared to the bulky 42L one I had before and had to replace due to old age. So apart from the questionable size issue I would recommend this oven.

Really like this new replacement. I had had my last Sharp over 19 years, so hope this is as good. I haven't given it 5 stars as the manual is too basic and not that helpful as other reviewers have found. For example I haven't had a combination oven with air frying capacity and it is very scant as to how to cook successfully in this mode. Another niggle is that the fast button elicits a door prompt instead of starting up, and only after the door is opened and closed again will it decide to work. I miss the integrated recipe computer that came with my old Sharp, so helpful once you knew your way through the menus.

It’s sharp,! I have owned many products from them, seem good. The cost, the operating, and size, Why would you buy any other microwave So far it’s been very easy to use, loads of space and half the cost of most of the other in it’s category. Big plus which I didn’t know or struggled to see in the pictures. It’s also an air fryer!!!!! 5 out of 5

We purchased a Sharp R956SLM 42 Litre Combination Microwave Oven to replace our old Sharpe Combination one. It doesn’t have all the features that our old Sharp Combination Microwave had but it was a good price and with speedy delivery from AO we weren’t without an oven, which was good. It comes with a round metal tray with non-slip bottom as well as the glass plate and two round shelves of different levels. We have tried the combination part as well as the microwave and found them very easy to use, as were the Auto Cook and defrost settings. The 42 litre size is just right for our family of 4 adults, especially as we no longer have a conventional cooker. The only thing I would comment on is the feet on the bottom of the oven do slide if the oven is empty, but all in all, I would say that I am very happy with my new Combination Microwave Oven and would recommend it.

It’s a great oven but……it cooks very unevenly and at a higher temperature than stated. It’s taken a while to get used to the quirks of this oven…despite being a convection oven it is distinctly hotter higher up so when cooking a large pudding, the top burns before the bottom is cooked. Also I haven’t managed a decent bread which burns on the outside but is raw in the middle. The instructions are sparse too and there are presets that aren’t mentioned in the booklet so I have no idea what they do! The interior is wide rather than high so not possible to cook a joint with roasties on the top rack as I could in my previous Sharp combi oven

I often put two dishes in our smaller microwave, which led to the turn-table eventually stopping to rotate as they jammed the rotation - as well as causing sparks when certain containers touched the sides of the oven. After much research I bought this, as it was the largest and cheapest microwave that also doubles as a grill. So far we have only used it as a Microwave, and it is very simple to use, and efficient. Best of all I can now get THREE dishes on the huge plate to rotate without causing obstruction - as well as being able to store large size pizza boxes overnight in it.

Good but it doesn't have all the facilities that my old one had and it is a bit more complicated to use!

Excellent to have finally combined Microwave, Grill, Oven AND Air Fry in one unit. The plate and other cooking racks and metal dish make it much easier to keep the unit clean. Clear loud alarm sounds when food it ready, and at halfway through cooking time in case you want to check the progress. VERY happy with this model.
