Great bread maker and fantastic AO service

    5/5
Bought one of these 10 months ago to upgrade from my elderly Panasonic machine. Had various issues with poor results but, rather than investigating the issue I carried on with my old one. A few weeks ago I decided to thoroughly check out the new machine. New flour (several types) new yeast, and several packet breads. Followed the instructions to the letter but awful results. Contacted Panasonic Customer Services. Not only were they NOT INTERESTED but their advice was as effective as a cat flap in an elephant house. Useless!!! Thank goodness I’d bought from AO. Spoke to anadvisor and explained the situation. They sent me a new one the next day. This one is perfect! I still think Panasonic bread makers are the best. I just got a rogue machine. The company is awful though. As always AO have proved they never let you down. DON’T BUY FROM ANYONE ELSE!

Perfect for a beginner who wants excellent results

I haven't used a breadmaking for about 30 years so was somewhat apprehensive. However my first loaf in this Panasonic was dried cranberry and cashew nut which turned out really well. The nut and yeast dispensers are well worth the extra money as the fruit and nuts were evenly distributed throughout the loaf. Next time I won't crush the nuts as much. For a beginner bread maker I thoroughly recommend this model

    Great bread maker

Fantastic item. My old bread maker died over Christmas and I read the recommendations in Which magazine, which is why I chose this machine. It has moved on a bit since my old one. Lots of options for making different breads and it’s got an over night timer. It is much bigger than my old machine so storage is a problem and the programme takes much longer( 4 hours). I like how the yeast goes in separately too.

The Panasonic breadmaker is very easy to use and turns out a very good product each time it is used. Easy to load with the ingredients and to follow the instructions given. We are extremely happy with this prouct and would recommend it to any potential purchasera. It is also very easy to keep clean, an essential feature with any kitchen appliance. Totally happy purchasers.

    Fabulous bread-maker!

I have had two cheaper brands (well-known) before and they have failed miserably. This time I did a ton of research and everyone said Panasonic! I love this machine with its separate yeast dispenser - guaranteed success! Definitely worth the higher price tag and hoping it will last many years.

    Excellent Panasonic SD-YR2550SXC Bread Maker!

    5/5
The Panasonic SD-YR2550SXC Bread Maker has excellent build quality, is sturdy and is accompanied by comprehensive instructions. The casing is brushed stainless steel which merely gets warm during baking, never hot to the touch. The machine looked spotless on unpacking, even before the recommended clean prior to first use. My first loaf, a wholemeal, baked to perfection. The baking basket will stand on digital scales and all ingredients can be added and weighed at the same time, which I found guaranteed accurate amounts of flour, oil and water - measurement accuracy is the key to excellent and reproducible loaves. The control panel is covered with a one-piece surface which means that no dust or flour can ingress. The only improvement that I would make would be to provide some backlighting to the LCD display to make it easy to read clearly even when the kitchen lights are off during the day. After baking, I was able to shake the loaf easily out of the baking basket which has a non-stick surface. Finally, the machine looked perfectly clean after baking! The only bit that really needed cleaning was the baking basket, and even then this was just around the kneading blade which required just an 8-minute soak to free (I poured just a little warm water into the basket to do this). Panasonic Bread Makers always score well in Which? and judging by mine I can understand why. So I'm very pleased with the Bread Maker and would recommend it.

Good replacement for much loved breadmaker in daily use.

Bought as a replacement for a similar previous product, in which the ceramic spindle had cracked due to heat and turning fatigue. Good to see this has now been replaced with a metal spindle, presumably as a response to customer feedback. Produces excellent well shaped and perfectly baked loaves, every time, and easy to use the timer and menu options. Only downside is thet the paddles are rather loose fitting on the spindles, meaning there is a risk that they might work their way free and spoil the process. Used a small foil wedge to prevent this happening.
